This is my history of the usage of Windows. Windows 98 > Windows 2000 > Windows XP > Windows Vista > Windows 7
Since then, I have been a Windows users and a lot of Windows products really helps me a lot in my life be it for entertainment, studies or work related.
I’m connected to MSN Messenger 24/7 and using it to catch up with friends and family which my bro which is currently in Singapore. Most of them are on MSN and I could reach them easily at anytime. I’m using Microsoft Office during my college days to complete my projects and now for my work related. Do you smoke? Are you one of the millions smokers out there? If you smoke you should read this! There’s hardly a part of the human body that’s not affected by the chemicals in the cigarettes you smoke.
Many teenagers and adults think that there are no effects of smoking on their bodies until they reach middle age. Smoking-caused lung cancer, other cancers, heart disease, and stroke typically do not occur until years after a person’s first cigarette. However, there are many serious harms from smoking that occur much sooner.
In fact, smoking has numerous immediate health effects on the brain and on the respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, immune and metabolic systems. While these immediate effects do not all produce noticeable symptoms, most begin to damage the body with the first cigarette – sometimes irreversibly – and rapidly produce serious medical conditions and health consequences.
Do you know that smoke actually Increases Stress? Contrary to popular belief, smoking does not relieve stress. Studies have shown that on average, smokers have higher levels of stress than non-smokers. The feelings of relaxation that smokers experience while they are smoking are actually a return to the normal unstressed state that non-smokers experience all of the time.
Cigarettes are filled with poison that goes into the lungs when you inhale. Coughing, dizziness, and burning of the eyes, nose, and throat are early signs that smoking is harming you. Smoking increases your health risks if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or high blood cholesterol.
There are approximately 4000 chemicals in cigarettes, hundreds of which are toxic. The ingredients in cigarettes affect everything from the internal functioning of organs to the efficiency of the body’s immune system. The effects of cigarette smoking are destructive and widespread.
Nicotine is the addictive drug in tobacco smoke that causes smokers to continue to smoke. Addicted smokers need enough nicotine over a day to ‘feel normal’ – to satisfy cravings or control their mood. How much nicotine a smoker needs determines how much smoke they are likely to inhale, no matter what type of cigarette they smoke.
Along with nicotine, smokers also inhale about 4,000 other chemicals in cigarette smoke. Many of these chemicals come from burning tobacco leaf. Some of these compounds are chemically active and trigger profound and damaging changes in the body.
There are over 60 known cancer-causing chemicals in tobacco smoke. Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body, causing many diseases and reducing health in general.
Smoking causes many premature deaths from diseases that are largely incurable, but preventable by stopping smoking. Smoking is like what shown in the pictorial above, it will kill you! There are three main killing diseases which smoking causes or brings on earlier:
Heart disease.
Smoking is responsible for 30 percent of all heart attacks and cardiovascular deaths.
Cancer.
It is responsible for at least 30 percent of all cancer deaths and 87 percent of lung cancer deaths each year.
Lung problems.
Smoking is responsible for 82 percent of deaths due to emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
So after reading all this fact and know the effect to your body, do you still want to continue smoking or choose to quit smoking? Please tell me yes, you want to quite smoking!
Say “TAK NAK”!
In Conjunction with “TAK NAK ROKOK CAMPAIGN” there’s a picture contest with cash prizes to be won. The most creative photos portraying Tak Nak to smoking will win.
Winners are chosen based on 50% votes and 50% marks given by MOH side. However, there should be no photos of cigarette or cigarette boxes.
The photos for this Tak Nak Rokok picture contest can be broadened to smoking kills or the dangers of being a second hand smoker.

Last Saturday a few of the bloggers had awesome driving experience in DUAL VVT-i – Toyota Corolla Altis and we were divided into two teams (Red and Black Team) racing against one another to complete few of the tasks assigned.
1st task of the day was to arrang as many boxes as possible without dent / spoil the boxes. There were different points awarded for different sizes of the box. The bigger boxes were 5 points, middle boxes were 2 points and the smallest boxes were 1 point each.
We grab all the right size of the boxes and arranged it in a way that it would carry more boxes without wasting space on the boot. We have got 39 points for this task and we scored a little more than the Red Team.
After that, the actual task begin, which each of the team grab a Toyota Corolla Altis and get all those assigned tasks completed within the assigned hours. Those instructions were given thru a pre-recorded audio cd which played in the Toyota Corolla Altis.
2nd task : Clue would be Wisma Manulife in Damasara Heights and we need to take picture in a place where people cycling around but going nowhere and attend classes that do not required pen and books.
Yup, it was easy. We figured out it was FitnessFirst and we zoom there and get the task completed, but before completing this 1st task, we pass by Victoria Station which supposed to be the task after this, we decided to skip the 2nd task and get the 3rd task completed before heading back to the Wisma Manulife. Smart?
3rd task : If Beckham were to open a steak house that name after his wife what would it be?
Yup, we figure that out too, it’s Victoria Station!
4th task : A village in Damansara with good food? Oh yeah we figured out where is that and it’s the famous “Village Park”!
We get ourselves too happy and miss out some of the important instruction. We actually need to spend our lunch there as close as RM50 but what we did is spending below RM30. This made us lose out on this task and was not awarded any point for this.
On top of that we packed our food instead of eating in the Damansara Village Park because it was really pack with people and by doing that it save us some time to continue to hunt or complete the next task.
5th task : We need to go to a mall which named after our Tropical weather along sprint highway and get smoothies for each of us from a shop which the name derived from Bubble. We got the mall right which is “Tropicana City Mall”.
At 1st we were mislead by the word bubble and going around searching for Bubble tea which we found “Each a Cup” but I insist that’s not the actual shop that we were supposed to get our drink and after a smart move by googling “Tropicana City Mall Smoothies” and they are plenty of search results showing “BOBALICIOUS SMOOTHIES”! That’s how we figured out!
Saw the background? It’s in Uptown where this picture taken. So this means we actually completed task no. 5 before we head to Village Park! Haha this is because the Tropicana City Mall is on the way we head to Village Park, so we suggested completing this task before we move on to the Village Park which is in Uptown. It do save us some time without need to “pusing” here and there.
6th task (Final Task) : We need to find out where’s the City of Light and a place which related to “ICE”.
With the Toyota Corolla Altis built-in DVD-Audio Video Navigation system we just key in the co-ordinate as the guide on the task, we manage to find “i-City” using the shortest road easily without need to look at all the signboard and without having a hard time to search here and there. It’s really helpful as both my team mates haven’t been to i-City and I only been to few times and not really sure of the way, but with the GPS we couldn’t go wrong!
We headed to “i-City” in Shah Alam and found “Snowalk”. There we have completed all of the assigned tasked and it’s 12pm+ way earlier then the assigned time which is 4pm, all and all it’s really a tiring day but yet it’s really a good time with Toyota Corolla Altis which equipped with so many good features.
Another useful feature of the Toyota Corolla Altis is the Reverse Camera! It’s good to guide me and on a look out if there’s any obstruction at the back when I’m reversing.
I just love the Toyota Corolla Altis New Dark Interior Colour, it make it looks more exclusive and will not be dirty easily. It makes Altis interior feels luxurious the moment you step in. Although it isn’t greatly changed from the old model, the little differences make a positive difference.
Bonus Question : What’s the link between all these location and it will add Vroom to Toyota Corolla Altis?
Do you know the answer?
We got it right! The answer for the bonus question is “Dual VVT-i”! Why? Connect all the initial of the location that we complete the task! Damansara Heights > Victoria Station > Village Park > Tropicana City Mall > i-City
Besides all the tasks and bonus question, twitter retweet also count! Each team was given a twitter keyword.
Red Team : #AltisDrive1
Black Team : #AltisDrive2
We got the most points thanks to shazwanihamid because of her followers! We got extra points and win!
This is the wining team! Black Team! I have been the driver all the time and I can feel the power of Dual VVT-i engine, I just tap a bit of the throttle and the power amazes me! (better to feature 7 Speed super CVT-i as TRC is more of a safety feature for emergency situations only).
Find out more about the new Toyota Corolla Altis and I’m sure you will be amaze by the power and the features!
Samsung Galaxy Note is a new type of smartphone, borne of insight and innovation. It is the ultimate on-the-go device which consolidates core benefits of diverse mobile devices while maintaining smartphone portability. It empowers you with everything you can ever desire so that you can simply, feel free. It is truly smart.
Samsung’s new GT-N7000 Galaxy Note is the handset that many people dream of with obnoxiously large smartphones. It’s as thin as a Galaxy S II, running Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor and its 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display is as gorgeous as it is enormous.
The 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution you once could only get with a full-size laptop (or in the Galaxy Tab 10.1) can now slide comfortably into your front pocket, that’s Samsung Galaxy Note. With support for 21Mbps HSPA+ (850, 900, 1900, 2100Mhz), LTE, EDGE and GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz), the Note is first and foremost a mobile phone!
Consumer research indicates that people always want to do more tasks much better, even on the go, whether it is web browsing, email, games, or viewing photos and videos.
To do all this, consumers carry multiple devices, because each device has unique benefits that work best in a particular situation. Therefore, consumers constantly switch devices to use the right device at the right time.
Even for consumers with multiple smart devices, they still carry around a notepad for writing down ideas.
There is an emerging desire for a primary device for on-the-go use that could consolidate the core tasks of multiple devices as well as recreate the ease and simplicity of using a pen and paper.
The GALAXY Note was created to reflect your desires. The Galaxy Note is a primary device that will minimize the need to switch to other devices while on the go and open up the potential of your mobile experience.
Samsung Galaxy Note jumbo display makes it the perfect candidate for a notepad replacement and, with the included S Pen stylus, you’ll have no problem jotting notes on the fly, marking up screenshots or signing documents electronically.
Don’t call it a stylus! Samsung prefers S Pen and, with features that you won’t find on just any plastic poker, it might even deserve the distinction. It’s able to tap and hold to capture an instant screenshot, which is then immediately opened up in an image editor and do wonders!
The S Pen is combined with the full touch screen to create a best-in-class mobile input experience. It is the most advanced pen input technology featuring an array of functions including pressure sensitivity, preciseness, speed and more. With the S Pen, you can easily sketch drawings or write notes with increased accuracy and ease. Also, the S Pen functionality is deeply integrated into the GALAXY Note’s native applications to provide a richer interactive experience.
It’s really a useful tool for me to copy notes and replace all my physical notebook and pen and environmentally friendly too! =)
S Memo : S Pen optimized advanced memo
The S Memo lets you record all forms of ideas instantly and freely. A quick memo can be taken from any screen to capture your ideas before they float away. Those ideas along with pictures, voice recordings, typed text, handwritten notes or drawings can be captured into S Memo, to be edited, annotated and shared as desired.
I don’t need to carry my 555 note book and just a Samsung Galaxy Note will do!
Advanced 8MP camera
I love to take photo and with the powerful camera feature, I capture the world’s every moment in deep detail. Also, using the vivid and large display, anyone can easily review photos and show them to my friends in a huge screen! So don’t need to bring bulky DSLR everywhere you go and can take awesomely good photo!
Conclusion / Summary of Samsung Galaxy Note
The huge size of the Galaxy Note is the main reason to buy it. Till now, no other smartphone has such a big, beautiful screen. However, the size also creates a number of issues, short battery life and sheer unwieldiness being chief among them. If you can live with these drawbacks, you’ll find that this is one of the most powerful Android smart phones around, tackling apps and media with aplomb.
Samsung Galaxy Note will be available in Malaysia stores from 11 November onwards. If you want to grab one do go and check it out!

Had a chance to taste this Korean food at Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant at Solaris Mont Kiara. I tell you even they are only selling 1 kind of main dish, Dak-Galbi (닭갈비), which is chicken, be it spicy or non spicy, it’s really awesome!
Uncle Jang serves Dak-Galbi (닭갈비) also romanized dalk galbi, is a popular South Korean dish generally made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a gochujang (chili pepper paste) based sauce, and sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions and tteok (rice cake) together on a hot plate. It is a local specialty food for the city of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, where dak galbi originates. Because of its origin, the dish is also called Chuncheon dak galbi.
It is said that dak galbi appeared after the late 1960s as an inexpensive anju (food that is eaten while drinking) in small taverns, on the outskirts of the city to replace the rather expensive gui dishes which are grilled over charcoal. The dish has spread to the main districts of Chuncheon, where the livestock industry thrives and soldiers who serve their military service frequently visit on leave.
It is also a popular dish for university students who are on a low budget, as dak galbi is relatively cheap and served in abundance. It earned the nickname “commoners’ galbi” or “university student’s galbi” back in the 1970s.
The city of Chuncheon has held an annual autumn festival dedicated to dak galbi since 2005.
