Mukashi Special Ramen (RM 24)

This Ramen comprise of sliced char-siew, soy sauced egg, seaweed, wood’s ear fungus, bean sprouts, spring onions & bamboo shoots in sweet tonkotsu (pork bone) broth. Warm and flavorsome, this seems to hit the right key. Wouldn’t rate this the best in town but nevertheless one of the best.

This is also one of the best-selling ramen at Yamagoya. The Szechuan-style spicy hot bean sauce pairs completely well with the sweet tonkotsu broth. It creates a unique taste of ramen, totally Oomph!

Who doesn’t like this plate of hot, crispy, crunchy and flavorful deep- fried chicken? The meat is tender and smooth. Eat it plain, squeeze some lemon juice over or dip with the mayonnaise – either way they are delicious!

Taste wise, it’s just so-so, nothing to shout about. Tad oily. Not the best Gyoza we had sampled.

Verdict: Ramen lovers should check this place out. It is also worth visiting and trying this place out if you haven’t tried ramen before.

This blog is a platform to share what I love in life: food (eat), travel (play), photography (art) and life (thoughts and ideas). With passion for food, I share my foodie adventures and indulgences here. “There is no love sincerer than the love of food.”

Traveling makes us a better human being as we recognise the similarities and celebrate the differences of cultures between where we travel to and where we come from. “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”

Photography do more than just capturing the best moments in our lives; they also help us tell our life stories. “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
