How not to lose money at the gas pumps?!

Sunday, October 28th, 2007 3,825 views

Recently everything also increase$$ and how can we survive? Ok, here is a little tips that I gather and some of it I do practice it myself.

Here are some tricks to get more of your money’s worth for every litter.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning or night time when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense is the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening, your 1-gal is not exactly 1-gal.

If there is a gasoline truck bringing loads at the time when you have to buy gas do not fill up, most likely the gasoline has been stirred up when the gas is delivered, and you might get some of the dirt that settled at the bottom.

When you’re filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look up you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: lo, mid, and hi, with slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that were created while you are pumping. If you are pumping on fast rates, some of the liquid that goes to your tank become vapors; those vapors were being sucked up back to the underground tank so that you’re getting less worth of your money.

One of the most important tip is to fill up when your gas tank is half full or half empty. The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying it’s empty space, remember gasoline evaporates faster than you think.

Hope this will help you guys with your pump cost.

I was having diarrhea last two days and now still abit stomach not feeling well. Hope tomorrow will be better.

Diarrhea (in American English) or diarrhoea (in British English) is a condition in which the sufferer has frequent watery, loose bowel movements (from the Greek word ????????; literally meaning “through-flowing”). Acute infectious diarrhea is a common cause of death in developing countries (particularly among infants), accounting for 5 to 8 million deaths annually[1]. Much of the incidence of these deaths is due to the lack of adequate safe water and lack of sewage treatment capacity; the separation of drinking water from contaminated sewage is also a major issue. more

Uncle Lim Dies at 90

Uncle Lim Goh Tong
KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, the founder of the Genting Group and one of the world’s richest men, died Tuesday. He was 90.

His son Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay said his father died at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre where he was admitted two days ago.

The funeral will be held on Monday. more

Lim Goh Tong was renowned for his vision in transforming Genting Highlands from an unexplored hilltop to one of the world’s most successful casino resorts. The fifth child in a family of seven children, Lim migrated from China’s Fujian province in 1937 at the age of 19 with only a small suitcase and US$175.

I really salute him for his effort and his idea of Geting Highlands. If without him, I think Malaysia is not as well know as now and we can’t enjoy ourselves in Geting for holidays.

Hope his son will continue his footsteps.

KUALA LUMPUR: The price of bread, the staple breakfast of most Malaysians, is likely to increase with rising wheat flour prices.

Since April, the price of wheat flour has increased by a whopping 80%.

A 25kg sack of non-general purpose (GP) wheat flour, which is used to make bread, is now priced at RM59.30, against RM33.60 in April.

Last month, it was fixed at RM44.30. Non-GP wheat flour is not a controlled item but the price of white bread, which is made from this type of flour, is controlled.
