My Gmail Almost Burst!

Thursday, June 28th, 2007 2,753 views

I have started using Gmail since 2004 when a friend of mine invited me to join it’s beta mail program. Till now 2007 i have more than 4k of mails and i need to start delete old mails although it’s stated in the gmail main page.

Lots of space
Over 2869.844012 megabytes (and counting) of free storage so you’ll never need to delete another message.

Gmail is one of my primary mail beside windows live mail and yahoo mail beta. But i found that gmail is not really good as it miss out the sorting of email size. It’s not capable of doing that and showing the size of the mail like what windows live mail and yahoo mail does. This feature is very important for me as i can sort by the size and delete the larger size mail.

When u reach almost 100% gmail would not allow you to send mail, so it force me to delete mail and remove some space before i can actually send mail =(

Hope gmail will be able to include this feature, but i doubt so because of the entire structure of gmail is diffent from others.

Recently, there are a lot of crime happening in JB. One kena rape after another. When i listen or read about this i also feel a bit helpless. This does not show that Malaysia Boleh. PPl out there pls help to fight crime and prove to the world that Malaysia is really BOLEH and a peaceful country.

# 1000g glutinous rice, soaked overnight then washed and drained well
# Bamboo leaves and raffia string for wrapping

# 400g belly pork (remove skin) or deboned chicken meat
# 150g dried mushrooms
# 200g dried chestnuts – soak in boiling water, discard the impurities then boil until soft; drain away the water
# 10 salted egg yolks
# 100g dried prawns – soak in warm water, remove the impurities then chop into small pieces.
# 100g split green peas – soak overnight, drain and add a pinch of salt and mix well
# 2 tsp chicken stock granules

# 2 tbsp Chinese Five Spice powder
# 3 tsp salt
# 2 tsp sugar
# 1/2 tsp pepper
# 1 tbsp rice wine
# 3 tsp dark soya sauce
# 2-3 tbsp oil
# 3 cloves garlic – chopped finely
# 6 shallots – sliced thinly

Soak bamboo leaves in boiling water overnight. Clean and wipe the leaves with a damp cloth.

Heat oil and saute shallots and garlic until fragrant. Add pork or chicken meat, dried prawns, chestnuts, mushrooms and seasoning. Stir well. Add 1/2 cup water and 2 tsp chicken stock granules. When pork is cooked, switch off fire and dish out filling ingredients.

Mix glutinous rice with 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp five spice powder, 1 tbsp dark soya sauce and 1 tsp salt. Stir thoroughly. Heat kuali and stir-fry seasoned glutinous rice till heated through. Remove to a big basin and stir in split green peas. Mix well.

Take two bamboo leaves, make them overlap slightly and fold into a conical shape. Put 1 tbsp rice into the funnel base. Add 1 tbsp filling and a piece of salted egg yolk. Cover with some more rice. Fold leaves over rice to form a triangular prism. Tie with raffia string.

Boil a large pot of water and add 2-3 tsp salt. Drop the bundles of dumplings in and boil for 1 1/2 – 2 hours over medium slow fire. Top constantly with boiling water to maintain level of water at all times. When cooked, remove the dumplings and hang to dry.

Crackdown on Xenon headlights

Thursday, June 14th, 2007 2,194 views

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will act against vehicle owners who modify their headlamps with bright Xenon lights that are blinding to other motorists at night.

Xenon Light

When i get to know this, i was damn happy. Wow it’s time to act against those ppl who modify their headlamps. It’s really annoying when some one have their headlamps modified to bright Xenon lights as it’s glare and it will make my eyes feel uncomfortable and make me feel like slow my car down and let them over take me then i will on my spot light (??) and shine them from back and see how they feel, but of coz i never do that becoz i’m a good citizen =)

so if you are on of them, pls go and revert back to your original headlamps.

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 2,014 views

Discussions in New York last week with Germany’s Volkswagen AG on a rescue plan for ailing national carmaker Proton Holdings Bhd have been fruitful.

Hope this time not like the March case where by it said dead line to be on march but till now it’s still being discussed and hopefully this will boost the Malaysia car maker market.
