Jin Taiwan 今台灣 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

I know this sound strange but I think I’m experiencing pregnancy symptoms too! (Gulp) Among the symptoms that I’ve been experiencing are weight gain, food cravings, gas and bloating to name a few. I googled about the possibility of husbands experiencing pregnancy symptoms and found out that there’s a thing called “Couvade Syndrome” and I seriously think I’m having that! Lately, I’ve had really strong cravings for Taiwanese food that I’ve got to have it instantly. Thus, The Wifey and I drove around our neighborhood searching for a Taiwanese restaurant to satisfy my cravings. We were so happy coz we found a cosy eatery called Jin Taiwan 今台灣 in Bandar Puteri which offer a wide selection Taiwanese food.

The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived.

Jin Taiwan 今台灣 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong : Taiwan Milk Tea (RM3.90)

Taiwan Milk Tea (RM3.90)

Taiwan Milk Tea or also known as Pearl Milk Tea has always been my favorite! My favorite place for bubble tea in Malaysia has got to be Chatime 🙂 The Milk Tea here is decent and the tapioca pearls taste fresh.

Jin Taiwan 今台灣 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong : Dumplings (RM5.90)

Dumplings (RM5.90)

We ordered steamed dumplings coz it’s healthier than fried dumplings. Tastewise, the dumplings were just average.

Jin Taiwan 今台灣 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong : Braised Pork Rice 滷肉飯 (RM4.90)

Braised Pork Rice 滷肉飯 (RM4.90)

Braised Pork Rice or ‘Lu Rou Fan’ may appear simple but it’s a very delicious Taiwanese dish. The braised pork rice here was alright but still lacking something compared to the ones I had in Taiwan.

Jin Taiwan 今台灣 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong : Tainan Dan Dan Noodle 擔仔麵 (RM9.90)

Tainan Dan Dan Noodle 擔仔麵 (RM9.90)

Dan Dan Noodle or “Dan Zai Mian” (擔仔麵) which is one of Tainan’s famous street food consists of yellow noodles and served with marinated pork, shrimp, vegetable, bean sprouts, pork ball and boiled egg. The broth which appear clear has a sweet flavor.

Verdict: Jin Taiwan 今台灣 at Bandar Puteri is a cosy eatery serving a wide variety of Taiwanese street food such as Braised Pork Rice, Beef Noodle, Smelly Tofu, Dan Xai Noodle, Taiwan Sausage, Oyster Mee Sua and lots more. The food was decent but nothing to shout about. If you’re craving for Taiwanese food, you can give this place a try!

This blog is a platform to share what I love in life: food (eat), travel (play), photography (art) and life (thoughts and ideas). With passion for food, I share my foodie adventures and indulgences here. “There is no love sincerer than the love of food.”

Traveling makes us a better human being as we recognise the similarities and celebrate the differences of cultures between where we travel to and where we come from. “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”

Photography do more than just capturing the best moments in our lives; they also help us tell our life stories. “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
