Chinese Soup Recipes for Toddlers / Kids

I love soup, all types of soups to the extent that if there’s just soup and rice for dinner, I’m also ok 🙂 We started introducing soup to Aiden when he’s 8 months and The Wifey will boil different soups for him everyday, which also means I get to drink variety of soups 😀 lucky me 🙂 Aiden doesn’t really like to drink plain water so in a way it’s good that he loves soup coz we want him to drink more liquid actually.

Actually it’s very easy to boil soup coz you just have to toss everything into the slow cooker or double boiler and let it do the job. After about 2 to 3 hours, you’ll greeted with a wonderful aroma of the soup. So no prize for guessing why I always look forward to going home after work. Hehe of coz to drink soup lo! 😀

So for this post I figure I’m gonna compile some of the soup recipe which is suitable for toddlers/ kids and of coz adults 🙂 Not only it’s easy to prepare but it’s absolutely tasty and nutritious. You can either have it with rice or macaroni, sounds good right? Oh btw, The Wifey does not put salt into the soup coz it’s meant to be salt-free for Aiden but surprisingly I actually find it flavorful even without salt. You can try the following chinese soup recipe and let me know if your kids love it or not ya?

Father and Son

Breastfeeding is truly a rewarding experience, not just for The Wifey and Aiden but also for me. I’ve got many funny and happy breastfeeding moments that makes me laugh thinking about it. One of the funniest breastfeeding experience I’ve had was when we were outside at the mall and They Wifey had to go to the washroom. I took over Aiden and after awhile, Aiden began rooting around my chest and he quickly found what he was looking for. I was like “Oh Gawd” and tried to explain, “No Aiden, there’s no milk here. Wait for mummy.” But he won’t bother and started sucking. My face turn tomato red coz the two ladies sitting next to me was of coz laughing at us :/ Thank goodness The Wifey came back shortly and asked if anything happened. I said, “Nothing much, Aiden just got the wrong boobs.” It was quite an embarrassing experience but it was a memorable one 🙂 To read more about my amazing breastfeeding journey and my role in breastfeeding, click here.
