Malaysian Youth had an enjoyable night with some of the hottest names in music at the coolest youth concert, Suara Kami 2011 by Astro on 17th September 2011, 7.30pm at Stadium Merdeka.
The Suara Kami Concert was organized by Astro in conjunction of Malaysia Day as well as Astro’s 15th Anniversary.
“Music knows no boundaries. It is the common language amongst youth today. The Suara Kami 2011 Concert celebrates the spirit of Malaysian youth. It coincides with the significance of Malaysia Day and the event also marks ‘15 years of Astro with you’ – our valuable customers. We are making it a double celebration with international and local artistes to entertain all Malaysian youth” said Henry Tan, Chief Operating Officer of Astro Malaysia.
Some of the hottest names from the international music arena like K pop sensation Rania; award winning playback singers from India Naresh Iyer and Chinmayi; popular Canto pop singer from Hong Kong, Hins Cheung 張敬軒; and some of the hottest names in the local music scene like Yuna, Hujan, Faizal Tahir, Pop Shuvit, Lan Typewriter, Psycho Unit, Soul Krazy, Ruffneckz, Stacy and Malaysian Rock Legends such as Man Kidal, Kid Search, Joe Wings and Hillary Ang were the line up for the Suara Kami Concert.
Naresh Iyer’s ‘Yethi Yethi’ entertains Suara Kami’s culturally diversed crowd.
Chinmayi and Naresh Iyer belted out the best of Indian renditions.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Attends Suara Kami Concert
Despite his busy schedule, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak took some time off to watch the “Suara Kami” concert at the Merdeka Stadium.
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who was accompanied by wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, received a rousing welcome when he arrived at the concert venue, much to the delight of those present who did not expect the country’s number one leader to be with them to watch the show.

K pop fans scream their hearts out with Xia (시아), T-ae (티애), Di (디) Jooyi (주이), Joy (조이), Riko (리코) & SAEM (샘), who are part of Korea’s latest sensational 7-member group, Rania. This group has been gaining much attention as their debut album was co-produced by the famous Teddy Riley, the one who’s responsible for the success of platinum-artists like Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga.
