Commit Sucide @ Genting Highland

Failed attempt: Rescuers trying to persuade Lai to give up his suicide bid. Lai jumped out of a restaurant but landed on the Genting Skyway safety net.

Commit Sucide @ Genting Highland

Rescue effort: A rescuer offering Lai a cigarette as he tries to talk him out of committing suicide. Lai finally relented at about 3pm.

I saw this news and I was thinking why ppl want to commit suicide? Commit suicide is a way of escape away from problem and it even create trouble to other ppl like your family. There’s nothing that cannot be solve and help is always out there.

If any problem or anything you can always talk to your family, friends etc and discuss the problem with them, I’m sure they will more than willingly to help. So do not commit suicide, it’s not wise to do that. I have seen some even commit suicide involving their children and wife / husband. This is socially wrong. Think for yourself and others.

PETALING JAYA: Deep in debt to loan sharks, a man jumped out of a Genting Highlands hotel restaurant window to his death. Well, not to his death. He crashed through the rooftop of the Genting Skyway station and landed on the safety net under the cable car system.

The man, identified as Lai, was seen kicking open the window of a restaurant at Highland Hotel before jumping out at 9am yesterday.

Stopped by the net, he sat on its edge for five hours, halting the cable car service and forcing all passengers to be transported to the lower station by bus and the Awana Skyway.

From 9.30am, firemen tried to coax him down and even offered him fried chicken, said a witness who declined to be identified.

“Later, he called his father and told him he was going to die today before switching off the phone,” the witness said.

About five hours later, firemen persuaded him to give up his death wish and police escorted him to the Kuala Kubu Baru Hospital at 3pm.

Chan Chong Ming-Chew Choon Eng hold their heads high despite final stumble – Badminton India Open

Chan Chong Ming & Chew Choon Eng

PETALING JAYA: Seasoned campaigners Chan Chong Ming-Chew Choon Eng’s failed in their bid to end their six-year title drought when they lost in the men’s doubles final at the US$120,000 India Open in Hyderabad yesterday.

The former world number one went down 21-19, 14-21, 12-21 to China’s second ranked pair of Guo Zhengdong-Xie Zhongbo in a showdown that saw a great comeback from the Chinese players.

After a great start in the first game, the unseeded Chong Ming and Choon Eng eventually lost steam against the solid attacking play of the towering Chinese.

The world No.9 Zhengdong-Zhongbo, desperately seeking to be seeded in the Beijing Olympic Games, stepped up their tempo in the second game and grew from strength to strength to wrap up the title.

Chong Ming-Choon Eng last won a title together at the 2002 Japan Open.

Despite the loss, the Malaysians, currently in the national team as sparring partners and sponsored by Victor for their international tournaments, can still walk tall for their giant killing feats from the first round onwards.

Chong Ming-Choon Eng, who are ranked 92 in the world, collected the scalps of world No. 6 pair, the Indonesian-American combination of Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan and the world No. 10 pairing of the Lee Jae-jin-Hwang Ji-man of South Korea.

The India Open is only their third tournament together since making a comeback this year as a pair after their previous partnerships were split in 2004.

Chong Ming agreed that their physical condition were a letdown.

“They were in better physical condition than us. We could not follow their pace and we felt that the shuttle was slow. We lost concentration and were a spent force,” said Chong Ming.

“But overall, it was a good run for us. And now, we look forward to future tournaments with a little more confidence. We can at least still give the top pairs a fight,” he added.

He is now keeping his fingers crossed that he would be called up to the play in the Asian Badminton Championships (ABC) from April 15-20 in Johor Baru. Both Chong Ming-Choon Eng are on the reserve list.

It’s very nice. Get one for yourself today! This Ferrari toy car from SHELL is selling like hot cake, furthermore if you pump SHELL V-Power, you are entitle to get the Ferrari Car at a cheaper rate of RM4.90 if I’m not mistaken, this is because I do not pump V-Power because 1st my car is not powerful enuff to use it, 2nd it’s too expensive for me to use it, 3rd it’s not necessary for me to use it. Haha, so you can just pump any petrol at RM40 then you are entitle to get it. If you don’t want it can give it to me =)

Rounding One Sen Coin Start From April Fool – (1sen) One sen coin no more

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 1,926 views

Start from today, there will be no more one sen coin as the rounding method already started few days back when I made purchase at U-Parkson in 1Utama New Wing.

One sen coin no more

One sen coin chart

For example, if the total amount to be paid is RM88.81 or RM88.82, it will be rounded down to RM88.80. However, if the total that has to be paid is RM88.83 or RM88.84, it will be rounded up to RM88.85.

So those shopping complex that using RM99.99 is just a trick and it’s actually RM100.00 cost it create a fake thinking that it’s actually less than RM100.00 and it’s cheap but it’s actually not.

Updated One sen coin still useful haha.
