I was invited to attend Huawei Ascend P7 media launch event on 10 June 2014 at Grand Hyatt Hotel in KL. Huawei flagship smartphone the “Ascend P7” was unveiled at the event, showing off a beautifully designed smartphone with an incredibly slim body, impressive 8MP front-facing and 13MP rear-facing camera, fantastic full HD 5-inch display, ultra-fast 4G LTE speed and the latest intuitive Emotion UI 2.3.
Huawei Ascend P7 Launch In Malaysia
Besides the Huawei Ascend P7, several other new models including Huawei MediaPad X1 7.0 LTE, Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0 LTE, Ascend G6 LTE and TalkBand B1 wearable device was launched at the event.
Huawei Ascend P7 was launched by Gary Xu, the Country Director, Consumer Business Group of Huawei Technologies Malaysia at Grand Hyatt Hotel in KL. Speaking at the launch, he said “The Ascend P7 encompasses the needs of the consumer for a durable and sophisticated device that brings an excellent balance between form and function.”
At just 6.5mm, Ascend P7 is touted as one of the slimmest 4G LTE smartphone in the market. It feels comfortable to hold and I really love the slim body as it won’t bulge out of my pocket especially when I’m wearing my tight fitting jeans 😉
The Ascend P7‘s is well built with its metallic body and encapsulated in durable Corning Gorilla Glass 3 in both front and rear covers which is apparently scratch resistant. Ascend P7‘s sleek glass back panel is made with a 7-layer surface treatment giving it a unique “spin effect” finish. The dotted pattern on the back panel actually appear quite attractive to me 🙂
Ascend P7 features a 5-inch HD touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 resolution which offers an impressive visual clarity. I’m pretty impressed with how vivid the colours were.
The Ascend P7 is packed with a powerful 8MP front-facing camera that will surely please anyone who loves taking ‘selfies’. High quality selfies is made possible with this Huawei Ascend P7. There’s also Beauty Mode that comes with a 10 level auto-facial enhancements to help beautify your face so don’t worry about crow’s feet or under-eye bag issues :p
Huawei Ascend P7 is the first smartphone in the market that offers a panoramic selfie feature called “Groufie”. With this cool feature, there’s no need to use “Selfie Stick” or “Monopod” to take group selfie anymore 🙂 You can have “Groufie” with your group of friends easily!
The image quality is seriously amazing. With an 8MP front camera, the photo is fantastically sharp and clear. Love it!
