Check out the brochure that been circulating around the net. The price is around RM80k. Will you buy this product of Proton? Not for me anymore as I was a previous Proton user and this price does not impress me even the design is copying from Mitsubishi Lancer GT. Some even say you can start to book now with just RM1000 booking fees.
There’s even a Facebook group for this – Proton Inspira Club Malaysia.

Ok mah … RM 80k for a Lancer …. all you need to do is de-badge it and put a Mitsubishi logo

You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.
Research before you write things out to prevent humiliation.

better buy forte, this car will sooner or later like perdana that will flood the road, and buy paying the same price like forte (same grade, same segment) you can get forte as the imported global model. if its cheaper by 20k then it is a better buy, but at same price better buy forte, at least the exclusiveness.

It’s totally business.
Saying that they (Proton) copied the design is totally out of the context. Both manufacturers agreed on this business of exchange. Proton rebadge the Lancer and Mitsubishi uses Proton’s Exora platform. It’s a win-win situation.
I guess you’ll know more if you read Paul’s blog.
Forte is a good buy as well. If I’d were to buy a new car right now, I’m torn between these two.
Just that it’s personal preference. Besides,
With Inspira, You get all the quality original engines from Mitsubishi. How is it possible to make it below 70K?
Just think about it. 🙂

Memang cun..

I think this car is worth it for those who are keen on the Mitsubishi Lancer. Considering how tahan lasak the Mitsubishis are, I think the Proton Inspira should do well too – and at a RM20k discount.

I think that the car looks great la. Not bad also to have lancer + lotus handling. Must be very fun to drive.
Problem is still branding. Plenty of Malaysians despise Proton for quality problems but I think this has improved significantly lately, but they still have long way to catch up to Japanese or Continental car makers. Especially in the little details and also after sales service.

Forte – Kia made + assembled by Naza
Inspira – Mitsubishi made + assembled by Proton + tuned by Lotus
Which one is your choice?

So to Proton fanboy chyan, do you think Mitsubishi will use the old-tech Proton platform or Campro engine? hmm…
