Big Spoon is the new addition to Setiawalk in Puchong specializing in cold noodles and dumplings served in a big spoon. This creative concept of serving noodles n a big spoon is pretty much similar to Boat Noodle at Empire Damansara which is a highly popular restaurant serving one of Bangkok famous food; Boat Noodle.
Big Spoon is located opposite Subway and next to Oversea Cafe (海外天茶餐厅) in Setawalk. Their food menu only have two items which is their signature Chicken Cold Noodle and Dumplings with House Special Sauce.
The restaurant has a simple wood interior and is spacious. The place is fully packed with people during dinner hours. I believe this shows that their interesting concept of serving cold noodles in a big spoon is successful and manage to attract a huge crowd.
Chicken Cold Noodle (RM1.90)
The Chicken Cold Noodle is made of cold chewy noodle and serve with their flavourful homemade sauce, topped with slices of shredded chicken and cucumber strips, and garnished with some spring onions and sesame seeds.
How many big spoons of Sichuan-style cold noodle can you eat?
You can have your cold noodle with either the red chili oil or peppercorn oil or both.
Verdict: Big Spoon, as the name suggest, serves their food in a big spoon. Big Spoon specializes in Chicken Cold Noodle and Dumplings with House Special Sauce; and these two are also the only food items in their menu. I find their sichuan-style cold noodle quite nice but it’s quite pricey as the portion is really small (probably smaller than boat noodle), you probably have to eat 10-20 big spoons to be full.
