RM3,000 ransom paid to free kidnapped woman, Dora Goh

Friday, November 30th, 2007 4,176 views

It’s now confirm from the media theStar that Dora Goh is safe now.

SHAH ALAM: A 25-year-old woman who was kidnapped from her office car park in Glenmarie, Subang, near here, was freed after her family paid a RM3,000 ransom.

The woman, who was kidnapped by three men at about 8.30am on Wednesday, was released at about 7.30am in a housing estate in Cheras after the money was paid.

Her family members picked her up and sent her to a hospital for a medical check-up.

Police have quizzed several people who they believe could help them in their investigations.

The woman’s kidnapping was witnessed by several people and the news spread like wildfire when they sent out SMSes urging the public to be on the lookout for a Toyota Camry with the registration number 7641 driven by the kidnappers.

The message also urged the public to contact the police or a particular cellphone number.

However, several bloggers went further by posting the woman’s photograph, much to the ire of the police who felt the action could have jeopardised the woman’s life.

Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed the woman’s release and said investigations were in progress. more

Advertlets Server Down Again?

Friday, November 30th, 2007 2,418 views

What happened to Adverlets where by other competitor is way much better and the loading time is faster I can say. Please do something in order to keep the “Adverlets” in the list. This is the previous entry about Advertlets.

It’s frequently down and it’s really disappointed. This is because visitor will see error here and there and it will turned the whole site ugly. I know Adverlets will sure say they upgraded 3 dedicated servers and keep updating, but how true is that? Why not show some improvement instead of just say … or maybe is the ISP provider not good ? I really don’t know, but I hope they will continue improve and we should see the improvement instead of frequent down.

According to some source, Dora Goh Wei Wei is safe now and all under control. Thank you everyone.

according to a source:

Seriously, never think that it can be solved so fast and so effective. Really good and kind of all the supportive and helpful Malaysian and good Samaritan. Hope Malaysia is still a safe place to stay and a safe tourism country and it will affect the image of Malaysia.

After the incident happen, a lot ppl take the effort to forward email, message, sms, IM etc. So of my friends even call up the number provided to ask if it’s real to confirm before any action was taken, this is really good indeed, do not forward blindly or without knowing the actual condition.

Will update with more information if I have.
Ok got here friendster profile and it’s stated there she is back and she is fine. here’s the friendster link

Debit MasterCard

Debit MasterCard

The Debit MasterCard is better than cash? Recently, there’s a lot of advertisment about this Debit MasterCard, on Radio, TV, Internet, Newspaper…

With Debit MasterCard, it is more convenient and secure than carrying cash. There’s less of ATM queues and no more hassles with everyday purchases and most importantly, you have more control over your money.

Linked to a savings or current account, the Debit MasterCard card allows you to make transactions using your funds at the point of payment rather than make purchase on credit. After each card transaction, the fund amount will be automatically deducted from your account and reflected in your bank statement, thereby giving you the added benefit of always knowing how much money you have in your account.

It is accepted everywhere MasterCard is — at more than 25 million locations worldwide. You can also use your Debit MasterCard card to do shopping over the internet and to make purchases over the phone.

Do you want to apply Debit MasterCard or do you prefer Credit Card? For me, I still prefer Credit Card. =)
