HTC HD7 : Windows Phone 7 – People Hub

A phone’s main function is to connect you with other mobile users / friends / family / colleagues etc. Windows Phone 7 did very well in this under People Hub.

With the People Hub, all of your friends and contacts are in one place and they’re all up to date. So you can see all and know all about the people that matter most.

Windows Phone 7 - People Hub + Facebook

You just need to add in your Facebook account and the People Hub will take care of the rest!

Windows Phone 7 - People Hub

The Windows Phone 7’s People Hub aggregates you friends from all of your social networks in three screens – Recent, All, What’s New. Recent tab will show you friends who have just updated their profiles or statuses in Facebook or MSN, while All tab will show you all of your friends as in contact book. What’s new tab quickly aggregates recent status updates all into a single feed. You can also quickly share your own status update thru the People Hub easily.

Windows Phone 7 - People Hub

Should you wish to comment, Like or Dislike a particular Facebook status update, it can be done directly from the People Hub. Microsoft has tried to integrate what most users want from a phone within the OS itself, not various applications, that’s the power of Windows Phone 7′ People Hub.

Clicking on one of your contacts not only displays their number and other details you had inputted, you can scroll through their status updates. Any contact information on Facebook, such as their birthday, is also displayed.

You can also filter / search thru alphabetical order of your contacts at People Hub.

Windows Phone 7 - Add account

You shouldn’t have any problems bringing your contacts over to Windows Phone 7 if you keep them in the cloud on another platform.

While you’ll initially need to login with a Windows Live account, you can add Outlook, Facebook, Gmail and other POP or IMAP accounts without a problem, and choose what syncs from each (contacts, photos, calendar, email etc).

What I don’t like is all my junk contacts from when I used MSN since secondary school will sadly appear in the address book. Need to do massive cleanup!

This blog is a platform to share what I love in life: food (eat), travel (play), photography (art) and life (thoughts and ideas). With passion for food, I share my foodie adventures and indulgences here. “There is no love sincerer than the love of food.”

Traveling makes us a better human being as we recognise the similarities and celebrate the differences of cultures between where we travel to and where we come from. “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”

Photography do more than just capturing the best moments in our lives; they also help us tell our life stories. “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
