I’m back from Taiwan! It was an awesome trip with awesome ppl! Get to enjoy myself and stuff with good food and shop till I dropped. It’s a great 6 days 5 nights experience! 🙂

In the year 2000, the Tourism Bureau of the ROC (Taiwan) 中華民國觀光局 launched its global campaign aimed to attract more international visitor to Taiwan. The campaign involved the logo with “TAIWAN” written in calligraphy and a Taiwan-shape seal with the slogan “Taiwan, Touch Your Heart“. The campaign was quite successful, with more than 5 million people visiting Taiwan last year.
On February 11, 2011, the Tourism Bureau launches its newest global campaign. Following the theme of “Heart”, the new campaign involves the logo with a heart full of different possibilities to explore in Taiwan and the slogan “Taiwan – The Heart of Asia 亞洲心、台灣情“. The two logos share the same idea that tourism in Taiwan begins with the heart.
A place mixed with traditions and modernity, Taiwan is one place in Asia you cannot miss!
Our flight from LCCT to Taiwan by AirAsia. The air ticket that we got 1 year back was quite cheap though.
When reaching Tao Yuan airport in Taiwan, the 1st thing I got was Taiwan Telephone line with Taiwan Mobile 台湾大哥大. (Unlimited Data + TWD210 credits for only TWD500).
Rented a Volkswagen van to fetch all of us to our hotel in Taoyuan (Airport Transfer which is cheap if going by a group of people).

This hotel that we stayed at the 1st night was awesome and cheap! It’s about RM200 per night only!
中壢市觀光夜市
Our first stop in 中壢市觀光夜市 (桃園夜市 Taoyuan Night Market) for our dinner. 1st night reaching Taiwan and too crazy about Taiwan food and stomach bloated. Haha.
亚美豆浆大王 @ Soy King
The soy bean was good and the breakfast there was good too!
羊世界 Goat World Leisure Farm
Initially we planned to stay the 2nd night in Fly Cow Ranch to get some fun there but unfortunately it was fully booked 🙁
Then we can only opt to visited the goat farm 羊世界 Goat World Leisure Farm in Taoyuan, as we wanting badly to experience milking a goat but too bad, we can’t get to experience it as only open to those who come in a big group.
There’s really nothing much to see and do @ 羊世界 Goat World Leisure Farm. So I don’t suggest you to waste your time there unless you want to see some animals.

巧克力共和國 CHOTTY & COTTY
Visited Chocolate Museum – 巧克力共和國 CHOTTY & COTTY. Thought we can get to see how the chocolate produce in the real factory but it’s not. Just get to see the documentary on how the process of making chocolate. Never get the chance to DIY choc as schedule not allowed to.
Visited Dasi Old Street 大溪老街. Walk walk and shop shop, also had our lunch there.

It’s very expensive as room for 8 cost about RM2k but it’s inclusive of SPA package and meals. There’s individual SPA in the room itself too but too bad we didn’t utilize it! It’s a great experience staying there except some weird taste dinner.

烏來位在台北市東南方約27公里，為新北市唯一的山地鄉，全區樹木青翠，清水長流，眾山環抱，聞名遐邇的烏來瀑布頂端源頭更是湖光山色，古木參天，林間雲霧濛濛，彩蝶、蟬鳴、鳥語彷如世外桃源。但此美景因南勢溪懸崖峭壁的阻隔讓遊客無法置身欣賞，於是興起了空中纜車籌建計劃，藉著空中纜車將原始自然景觀完整地呈現於國人眼前，又因美景天成，春夏秋冬的演替各有不同之美就如同仙境般，所以取名為”雲仙樂園”。

Our remaining nights were at Colormix Ximending. It’s at strategic location but the room really can’t complain because of the price that we paid for. It was consider a small and cozy room but just that the exterior of the building and the entrance is abit run down.
西門町
Ximending has been called the “Harajuku of Taipei” and the “Shibuya of Taipei”. Ximending is the source of Taiwan’s fashion, subculture, and Japanese culture. Ximending is also the main LGBT district of Taiwan, with a host of many clubs and pubs surrounding the area. This area is in the northeastern part of Wanhua District in Taipei and it is also the most important consumer district in the Western District of Taipei. The well-known Ximending Pedestrian Area was the first pedestrian area built in Taipei and is the largest in Taiwan.

It’s a must try when you are in Ximending! A lot of variety of mee and also shui gao 水餃 and wo tip 鍋貼.

Ah Chung Mee Suah (阿宗面线) @ Ximending 西門町 is the best!~ A lot ppl will be queuing up for it but it’s fast. Eat while it’s hot!

蜂大咖啡 @ 西門町 – Fong Da Coffee @ Ximending
西門町成都路上的蜂大咖啡，進門那濃濃的咖啡香就撲鼻而來，從 1956 年營業至今已經有半個世紀了。每天採小量烘培各國莊園咖啡，從進口生豆到選豆、烘焙、沖泡等步驟，毫不懈怠。購豆從不討價還價，只堅持最好的東西，所以數十年來，蜂大咖啡的品質是有口皆碑的，許多客人一來再來，許多伯伯婆婆從年輕喝到老。
You must visit this shop if you love coffee! The coffee smell very strong and whenever you pass-by, you will feel like going in for a cup of coffee!

Dan Shui 淡水老街
淡水老街位於新北市淡水區中正路、重建街、清水街等一帶，鄰近淡水捷運站，由於交通方便，因此淡水老街每到假日總是人山人海，為全家出遊、三五朋友逛街的好地方，淡水老街也集美食、小吃、老街為一身，近年來淡水老街更因不少古董店及民藝品店進駐，也營造出民俗色彩與懷舊風味。

淡水阿婆鐵蛋
鐵蛋為台灣新北市淡水區的著名小吃，由滷蛋衍生成的蛋類小吃。

淡水正宗阿给老店
淡水阿給，是台灣新北市淡水區有名的小吃之一。阿給的做法是將油豆腐的中間挖空，然後填充炒過的冬粉（有些店家使用的是沒有炒過的冬粉）、浸泡過滷汁，以魚漿封口，加以蒸熟，食用前淋上甜辣醬或其他特殊醬汁。
Hmm it’s like toufu stuffed with tong fen. Taste really weird and I don’t fancy this too! Haha.

Shilin Public Market (Night Market) 士林夜市
士林夜市位於台北市士林區，此地原是靠近基隆河的渡口，從士林的農產品到艋舺、大稻埕的貨物都在這裡交易，1909年設立士林市場一直發展至今。士林夜市是台北地區最具規模的夜市之一，士林夜市可分兩大部分：一是捷運站對面的臨時集中市場，於2005年11月24號正式啟用，由於通風、衛生、環境、公共安全等問題，臺北市政府於2002年10月14日將原士林市場拆除，僅保留日據時代的磚造市場建築；二是以陽明戲院為中心，擴及文林路、基河路，以至大東路與大南路都算在士林夜市的範圍內，商家林立，範圍非常的大，再加上各式各樣的百貨商品及經濟實惠的美味小吃，不但是台北人夜晚逛街的好去處，更讓其他縣市的民眾為此慕名而來，甚至連國外觀光客也趨之若鶩。

Jiufen 九份
九份位於新北市瑞芳區，是昔日台灣的採金礦中心，環山面海，擁有變化多端的山海美景，為一座小小的山城，保有著純樸的舊日生活風貌，但在金礦產業漸漸沒落之後，九份的輝煌時期便走向歷史；時至今日，由於觀光產業的興起，九份又恢復到以往的繁榮，在老街上處處是人聲鼎沸，忙碌的都市人在這裡找到一處可以放鬆心靈的地方。
Golden Waterfalls 黃金瀑布 & Yin Yang Hai 陰陽海
位於金瓜石往水湳洞的公路邊，早期曾經叱吒一時現已廢棄的台金公司，在金瓜石及九份產礦由於山泉水與雨水滲入，礦砂沉積溪床，並有菌類附著滋生，水質飽含氧化的金屬礦石顏色，而形成金黃色的瀑布景觀，當地居民故稱為『黃金瀑布』。
身處瀑布旁的台金舊礦場，可俯瞰陰陽海，景觀十分詭異；還可遠望雞籠山上的金瓜石山城，以及蜿蜒的金水公路。是個適合拍照好景點，同時也是很受歡迎的婚紗照拍攝地點。
水湳洞陰陽海，簡稱陰陽海，位於台灣新北市瑞芳區水湳洞聚落北側，為台灣東北角濱海地區的一大特殊地理景觀。水湳洞陰陽海因海灣中的海水顏色呈黃褐色，與外海方向正常海水的藍顏色形成鮮明對比，因而得名。
