It’s the season for mooncake again!
This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 15th. With just about a month away from the Mooncake Festival, many restaurants, supermarkets and hotels have started selling mooncakes gift boxes.
I was recently invited to sample a selection of handcrafted traditional baked and snowskin mooncakes from Dynasty Restaurant at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
This year, Dynasty Restaurant offers a selection of 14 types of baked and snowskin mooncakes made using pure and natural ingredients.
Classic mooncakes such as Low Sugar Assorted Nuts and Seeds, White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk and Pandan Lotus Paste with Single Yolk never fails to make their appearance on their menu annually.

The new varieties include the baked Low Sugar Bamboo Charcoal Green Tea Black Sesame, Snowskin Coffee Paste with Marshmallow and Nuts, White and Black Chocolate Paste with Mixed Nuts and Yam Paste with Single Egg Yolk.
