Proton Suprima S hatchback launched by Proton on 17th August, at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre. The Proton Suprima S – is derived from the English root word ‘supreme’ – unveiled 16 months after the launch of Proton Preve. It’s known to many as Proton Preve hatchback.

The all-new 2013 Proton Suprima S hatchback enters the market in two different variants. The price range for the Proton Suprima S Executive variant is from RM76,338, while the Protong Suprima S Premium variant is from RM79,638.

The new Proton Suprima S was unveiled at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre by Proton group advisor, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who was accompanied by Proton executive chairman Tan Sri Mohd Khamil Jamil and Proton deputy chief executive officer Datuk Lukman Ibrahim.

The Proton Suprima S Premium variant offers features new to Proton models, such as the Proton Infotainment with an Android-based operating system, rear LED guide lights, Hill-Hold assist, and Park Assist with front parking sensors.

The system offers WiFi connectivity off a mobile phone or portable hotspot, allowing Internet on the go, though for safety reasons the DVD player and WiFi-based browsing can only be accessed when the handbrake is engaged!

Proton Suprima S engine

The Proton Suprima S is powered by Proton’s 1.6L Turbo engine, produces 140 PS at 5000rpm, with a maximum torque of 205Nm from 2000 to 4000rpm.

The Suprima S is packed with various safety solutions to keep occupants well protected should lady luck run out. 6 air bags.
