Yay! It’s awesome to be invited to the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 @ Putrajaya Marriott Hotel even I’m not one of the nominee yet I still feel proud and happy to be there with so many famous bloggers from all around the region!

3 years back I was invited to Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2009 @ Pan Pacific Singapore too! It’s like just happened yesterday to me.

Wanted to arrive early to mingle with others awesome bloggers from all the Asia-Pacific Region (Singapore, Philippines, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, and Brunei) but failed… due to the Google Map failed! The map bring me to no where and it’s in the middle of highway! Luckily at least I still able to find my way there! Lolz.

I was sitting at table 14 together with Joshuaongys, Tey Cindy, Jian @ Akiraceo, Tian Chad, Chuckei @ Jane and Ashley

Timothy Tiah Ewe Tiam (Co-founder of Nuffnang!), the one that just made his wedding proposal to Audrey Ooi aka fourfeetnine and the proposal video goes viral in the internet with millions views.

Harith Iskander telling jokes, some of his jokes really good and most of it is localized to Malaysian or Singaporean! I remember two of his jokes, he said the translation of our movie in cinema fail big time because – “Holy Shit” will be translated to “Tahi Suci” and “One Night Stand” will be translated to “Satu Malam Berdiri!”. Lolz…

After that went to Zouk for after party awhile and that concluded my day. Thank you Nuffnang for all these years being there to make my blogging life more interesting!

Hmm do you know what’s Nuffnang?

Nuffnang.com is Asia-Pacific’s first and leading blog advertising community. I must thanks Nuffnang for what and who I’m today! If not because of Nuffnang I will not enjoy blogging or I might stop blogging and might not meet so many awesome blogger or people out there and some become my good friends.

I’ve been with Nuffnang since the launching on early 2007 and it’s been 4 years now! Really a lot of memories be it the good and the bad experiences.

What I like most is to join all the events events which I able to meet bloggers and mingle around while can get some of the goodies and make some bucks out of it.

Come 16 December 2011, 500 bloggers including the biggest names in the blogosphere from around the Asia-Pacific region will flock to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 in Putrajaya Marriott.

The Blog Awards experience will not end there, because after the glamour and fanfare of the awards ceremony, foreign bloggers will also get the chance to get a taste of the unique, colourful culture of Malaysia with a semi-guided tour around the city of Kuala Lumpur the next day.

Nuffnang Awards!

Reached there quite early, mingled around and took some photo while waiting for the awards. Very hungry that time but nothing to eat, so my last resort is eating Pringles, a lot of Pringles, almost few tube of it. Haha. Sponsored one ma!

Finally get in and the event started. Enjoyed the speeches, awards, magic show, live band while enjoying the dinner!

Menu of the day…

It was fine dining and I was not used to it. lol. I’m low class ppl who only go to mamak or “tai pai dong” la… see so many forks and spoons duno which one to use also… memper-siasui-kan la… damn. So what I do is, look at how other ppl use then only start to eat la… Look before you jump! =p

Kopi + Tea = Cham

Dish 1 – Bread. It supposed to be sliced and eat in small pieces but who cares, I just throw the whole piece into my mouth! haha hungry la.

Dish 2 – Marinated Smoke Tuna with Feta, Herb Salad and Balsamic Olive Oil

Dish 3 – Light Cream of Asparagus and Green Peas topped with a Chive Mousseline

Dish 4 – Rosemary Marinated Chicken Breast with Saffron Cheesy Mash Potato and Balsamic Reduction Mediterranean Vegetable in Mango Coriander Salsa Sauce

Dish 5 – Praline Halzenut Gateau with Raspberry Jelly

See the dish name also damn long… but I really don’t know how to enjoy the food ler, to me it’s no as good as other food I eat la, maybe this is because I’m not high class fellow, so kinda find it taste weird and not to mention the portion is very little too. lol. Anyway this is the 1st time I had a fine dine like this. Thanks to Nuffnang, a real good experience!

Apart from the NNAwards, as I have been using my Xpax BlackBerry throughout the trip, it cost me a lot, luckily there’s Xpax XXL Bonus. woo hoo so I got to save a lot and can earn some bonus from there. Just reload any amount more than RM50 and you are entitled for the XXL Bonus. For example, with current every month bonus, you’re getting 3% bonus with usage of MYR50 and above but now with Every Month XXL Bonus, you can now get 6% bonus. A lot right? Link Hotel Singapore @ Tiong Bahru

Been staying in this Link Hotel, Located at Tiong Bahru estate throughout the Nuffnang Awards Trip in Singapore. It’s a nice and clean hotel.

This is the bridge which link to another side of the hotel.

It’s very convenient as there’s bus stop just opposite the hotel, convenient store next to it, coffee shop, Tiong Bahru Market and Tiong Bahru Food Court. There’s safe box to store my netbook/valuable stuffs and complimentary in-room broadband internet access so that I can online and update about the nnawards too. Good right?

Nice and comfortable bed!

I love the toilet design.

How to get there?

Driving from Singapore Changi Airport
1. From Airport Boulevard, connect into Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
2. Exit into Central Expressway (CTE) in the direction towards city.
3. Drive along CTE.
4. Exit at Outram Road.
5. Connect to Tiong Bahru Road.
6. The driveway into Link Hotel Singapore will be on your right.

Buses
The following buses stop near Link Hotel: 5, 16, 33, 63, 123, 175, 195

Train
The two nearest Mass Rapid Train (MRT) stations are Outram MRT Station and Tiong Bahru MRT Station.

The Journey to Singapore Nuffnang Blogger Awards

Early in the morning reach Nuffnang office @ Heritage House, 33 Jalan Yap Ah Shak, around 7am+ but waited and mingled around till 9am then only we start our journey to Singapore. Not sure what’s the delay but this is the first time for Nuffnang to hold such big event and going down south with 3 buses of Bloggers from Malaysia for sure a difficult thing to co-ordinate and will not success without the co-operate from all the Bloggers. AM I right? =)

See even Sixthseal (Huai Bin) checking company mail while waiting there.

Sleep along the way to Singapore and stop by a few R&R and there wasted a lot of time too and finally reach Singapore @ 5pm. Woo hoo. Tot could go straight to bed and have a good nap but night mare, coz too many ppl and hard to manage, hence the check in process took more than 30mins – 1 hrs. Maybe next round could collect the passport, cash or credit card before reaching the hotel instead of running around looking for the blogger which scattered around. Arghh, not too patient. =p

I’ve been using my Xpax BlackBerry Curve 8520 to check twitter and do live update on the Singapore Nuffnang Awards trip all the way from Malaysia to Singapore. Cool right? =) So that my readers and follower will know what’s happening and to those that never go to the nnawards to keep an eye on the glamour event.

Wooo hoo, Nuffnang Blogger Awards 2009 ended and just reached Link Hotel, finally after a long wait for the bus, for almost 1 hour, should be able to back to hotel earlier and rest.. arghh tiring. Anyway XiaXue from Singapore won 3 awards! Wow!

Here’s some updates while I will cover more when I’m back in Kuala Lumpur!

Nuffnang & Ogawa Close To Me

Was invited to join Ogawa event organized by Nuffnang @ TGIF, Pavilion last week. It was an interesting event to get to know other bloggers and also get to know more about Ogawa Zero-Gravity massage chair and other products.

So many goodies bags with come with Ogawa free Vibrating U-Shape Neck Supporter.

Opening speech by Ogawa person in charge and continued by dinner and mingling around with bloggers.

The food is so so only and few bloggers also complain about it, maybe the portion that we took just not right?

All seems so happy and enjoying themselves.

We were split into two groups, 1 group went for the show room visit and another group participated in the contest.

LG Blog Launch Party @ Metropol Gourment Bar

Went to this LG Blog Launch Party @ Metropol Gourment Bar, Menara Hap Seng, Kuala Lumpur. The “Angelic White & Devilish Red” themed launch party was a blast and successful one.

Too bad that I don’t have DSLR with me so what I could do is just video all the way. Haha coz too embarrassed with the photo quality.

All the bloggers were dressed up according to the theme “Angelic White or Devilish Red”.

The food was superb. Ichiban! Sit next to the food so that it’s easier to grab it. Haha… =p

Free flow of beer and vodka. I think organizer should have limit the age of the guest so that no underage ppl will attend this because saw quite a number of underage youngster drinking non stop till vomit… it’s free ma? lol. I didn’t drink much as it’s not good to drink and drive, safety come 1s. =)

Mira from Redmummy.com won “The Most Wicked Devil” Award as her dress and outlook was no doubt the most wicked in the party. The moment she stepped into the party, everyone knew she was going home with this award and so did the judges. She brought home an LG 32” Full HD LCD TV for her marvelous display of wickedness of a devil.

Kim Ong from kimong.com won ‘The Purest Angel’ Award as she gracefully displayed her angelic moves on stage capturing the hearts of the judges. She brought home an LG 32” Full HD LCD TV for her angelic outfit and personality.

Jovi from Hengjovi.blogspot.com came to the party with face paint along with his mum’s mascara on his face. Donning a black cape and some handmade skull chain, he was awarded “The Out-of-Place Devil” Award and walked home with a brand new LG Cookie mobile phone.

Jolyn Goh from lilmejo.com came all the way from Penang just to attend the party. She came as a Harajuku Angel which the judges all agreed that she deserved “The Confused Angel” Award. For that, she won herself an LG Cookie mobile phone to bring home to Penang.

He did not get home anything. Pity him as I guess it must be damn hot inside and the rental for this costume not cheap?

Yeah, I finally own a Sony PSP but it’s PSP-3006 which can’t be modded or crack using the custom firmware, therefore I can’t download and play again. Is like can see but cannot eat. Haha… Got the PSP with mini kit, which consist of 1 Crystal Case, 1 Screen Guard, 1 Earphone, 1 USB Cable and 1 Cleaning Cloth. Too bad it doesn’t come with Memory Stick and UMD too. =(

Who have extra unwanted UMD can pinjam me or give it to me? hehe. Who know how to mod or crack this using custom firmware? If you know leave me a message too! I want to play games with my PSP!
