When ppl talk about Geylang 芽笼路 (aka in Chinese Hokkien “鸡笼”), it’s always refer as red-light district of Singapore. Thousands of Asian prostitutes mostly from other countries like Thailand, Indonesia, China and Malaysia work in Geylang, and visitors and locals alike flock to the area each evening and stay till morning.

But I’m not talking about that k! Besides what it’s being famous for, it’s also famous for food, especially Fresh Frog Porridge!

Always wanted to try out the Fresh Frog Porridge but didn’t get to go, but it’s our fortune that it’s in SS2 now all the way from Singapore! There’s branch in Petaling Jaya now! Finally I get to try the famous fresh frog porridge.

The White Porridge 白粥 itself also taste very good! It’s not watery type but it’s very thick, almost solid paste. (Different size RM3/RM4/RM5, just order RM5 if 3-4 person is sharing, if not enough then order another small or medium portion.)

Just check out what we had, the pictures tell a thousand story, but although the price is ok, I only like the teppanyaki, the sashimi and sushi is on average only. Went to Sri Petaling for Dim Sum… Found out this place where selling something special / unique which you can’t find in other dim sum place…

鸡窝包 = 大包加糯米鸡! Haha… It’s very unique and only one in KL, Sri Petaling. Actually there’s nothing special la, you can just order a “叶子楣大包” + “糯米鸡” = 鸡窝包 = Kai Woh Pau = Loh Mai Kai in Pau!~ But there’s a lot of “料” (liu) inside lo, worth every single sen. less than RM5 buck.

See even when you tar bau, they will be packed in a nice packing lo. =)
