首次参与金河广场倒数派对的谢佳见坦言当晚会挑战天后的组曲，而且将天后经典好歌串烧在一起，势必要来个全场大合唱。王明丽和马嘉轩坦言很期待这次的倒数活动，因为两人除了会演唱自己的歌曲外，还会挑战时下流行的英语歌曲。另外，两位实力女唱将还会合唱呢！

同时Astro新秀出身的乐坛新人张诒博和钟瑾桦，两人也将会在舞台上“尬歌”，挑战西洋流行曲。虽然来自同一个歌唱比赛出身，却不同唱片公司的歌手能擦出怎样的火花？大家肯定非常期待。第二年参与金河广场倒数派对的ManHanD今年除了演唱自己的歌曲外，更首度在倒数派对上将其他歌手的歌曲融入在ManHanD的曲子哦！

为了使演出更加顺利，金河广场前的苏丹依斯迈路（Jalan Sultan Ismail）将从12月31日（星期六）凌晨12时01分开始封路直到1月1日（星期日）早上6时。

今年的派对主题为劲歌，届时，所有参与演出的歌手将在Live band乐队的伴奏下演唱多首劲歌热舞外，也会挑战其余流行曲，势必让大家跟着音乐合唱及摇摆，用动感的旋律来迎接全新的一年。

金河广场宣传及公关部高级经理林国庆表示，去年金河广场大胆尝试以Live band伴奏后获得空前热烈的反应，更让现场粉丝的热情推向更高潮。“所以今年再次以乐队现场伴奏形式，势必要将现场气氛炒至最高点。”

他也表示，所有参与演出歌手将会在舞台上和大家一起倒数，现场也会燃放璀璨5分钟的烟花，势必让大家度过一个与众不同的2012全新一年！

Where are you going for tonight count down?? I want to see nice fireworks!! There’s so many places for countdown tonight. Genting, Sunway Pyramid, KLCC, Curve, Ikano, 1Utama, SG Wang, SK Live etc. Confirm road closure for countdown event, road block after countdown, jam all the way to new year! =)

Any suggestion? Don’t want to go KL countdown lo too jam… Pavilion, Bukit Bintang, Sg Wang, KLCC sure jam… Some road will be closed for the countdown party too. So if you want go KL for countdown I suggest you to take public transport LRT as the business hours should be extended .

In conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year, Astro and MY FM are proud to present the first ever 100% locally produced Chinese movie “Woohoo!” that will hit the screen on 14 January nationwide.

“Woohoo!” literally means tiger dance in Chinese, which is in fact part of the traditional Chinese culture although it has not been practiced as commonly as lion or dragon dance in Malaysia.

Inspired by the uniqueness of the tiger dance, Astro once again establishes its role in the Chinese community with a movie hoping to revive the long-forgotten culture amongst the local community, as well as to boost the local Chinese film industry through this movie.

Led by local director and producer 周青元 Chiu Keng Guan (who is also the Senior Manager of Astro Chinese Language Business), “Woohoo!” boasts an impressive lineup of Astro and MY FM artistes such as 林德榮 Jack Lim, 顏江瀚 Gan Jiang Han, 陳志康 Royce Tan, 邱文博Bernard Hiew, 楊佳賢 Jason Yeoh, 顏微恩 Gan Mei Yan, 曾潔鈺 Chen Keat Yoke, 卓卉勤 Vivian Tok and 黃一飛 Freddie Ng – each of them has been characterized vividly.

“Woohoo!” revolves around five youngsters of different background getting together at a small village in the East Coast to undergo the tiger dance training. The movie incorporates social, family and cultural values in a light-hearted and humorous way, with plots and languages that are relevant to the local lifestyle.

Went to the exclusive premier yesterday with all the artistes at e@Curve (Cathay Cineplax @Cineleisure Damansara). It’s the 1st ever local CNY movie that I watch in cinema and it’s awesome! There’s laughter and there’s tears. Go to cinema to support our local production on 14th Jan at all the cinemas nationwide.

What is BlackBerry Messenger?

BlackBerry Messenger is simply an instant messaging program for BlackBerry to BlackBerry communication. It allows two people with BlackBerrys to chat in real time anywhere in the world so long as they have data service. With BlackBerry Messenger there is no per message charge like there is with SMS, messages are sent through RIM servers similar to email messages. It’s absolutely free, so BlackBerry user can start to chat like there’s no tomorrow.

Start talking with BlackBerry Messenger
1. The first time you log into BlackBerry Messenger, you’ll be prompted to create a display name and password.
2. Once your display name and password are created, you’ll log into BlackBerry Messenger automatically each time your BlackBerry smartphone is connected to a wireless network.

Start using BlackBerry Messenger

- Add a contact:
o By scanning a barcode: on the contact list screen, press the Menu key. Click Invite Contact, then click Scan a person’s barcode. Click Continue. Hold your smartphone so all four corners of the barcode appear on your screen. Continue to hold your smartphone until you hear the success beep.

o By typing an email address or PIN: on the contact list screen, press the Menu key. Click Invite Contact, then click Enter a person’s email address, PIN or name. Type all or part of the contact information. Click the contact information. Change the Send Using and Category fields if necessary. Click Send.

o That uses text messaging1: on the contact list screen, press the Menu key. Click Invite Contact, then click Enter an SMS contact’s name or phone number. Type all or part of the contact information. - Send a file to a contact: during a chat, press the Menu key, then click Send File:
o Send a picture: click Picture. Click Camera or File. Take a picture or click a picture. Type a caption if necessary. Click Send.
o Send a document: click File. Click a file.
o Send a voice note: click Voice Note. Click Start to record your message. Click Stop if necessary. Click Send.
o Send a contact attachment of a contact from the contacts application: click BlackBerry Contact. Click a contact.
o Send a contact attachment of a BlackBerry Messenger contact: click Messenger Contacts. Click one or more contacts. Click OK.

Tips – BlackBerry LED Status Light Indicator

Enjoying your Xpax BlackBerry? Do you know what’s the light blinking in your BlackBerry for? Here is a quick guide and tips to the BlackBerry LED indicators.

Blue – Blue is for Bluetooth.

A flashing blue light indicates an active connection via bluetooth. You could enable/disable this feature under “Options > Bluetooth > Menu > Options > LED Connection Indicator: On/Off”

Green – Green is for coverage indicator.

Who really wants to be continuously reminded they are in a service area? I definitely don’t need this, it’s a waste of your batt if it’s blinking all days! Anyway it’s off by default! You could enable/disable this “feature” under “Options > Screen/Keyboard > LED Coverage Indicator On/Off”

Red – This is the good one! A flashing red light indicates a new message is waiting. Check under your messages folder for any unread items.

You can choose to be notified of new messages visually under “Profiles > Advanced > [Select profile you wish to modify] > [Select message the application that you wish to modify on how's the notification] > Repeat Notification : LED Flashing/Off”

Yellow – Yellow indicates that you are running out of battery. Find a charger quickly!

No Light – Nothing happen la! duh. Haha.

My New BlackBerry Curve 8520

Love my BlackBerry Curve 8520 so much!

Xpax + BlackBerry Curve 8520 can do wonders!

It’s a good phone and I really like that track pad compared to track ball, I tested the track ball with my friend’s BlackBerry Bold not so sensitive and the ball will be dirty and need to be replace. The camera is 2.0 Mega Pixel without any flash or LED light, it’s best to take in bright lighting condition. The download speed is still bearable at 128kbps with Xpax BlackBerry Social RM1 or Advance RM2.50 plans, sometimes it might takes awhile to load.

The lacking features in this phone is just 3G (no video calls and only using EDGE or GPRS connection) and GPS. Overall this is a good entry level phone looking at the price and it worth every cent that you paid for. I need to re-charge my BlackBerry everyday due to high usage and can’t leave without it! =)

Woohoo Finally I got my own BlackBerry after so many yearss… I’m loving it. It’s a cool gadgets! Really. I can now MSN, Facebook, Tweet, surf on the go. It’s really cool and convenient so that I do not need to bring my netbook around and find a wifi spot to do what I’m able to do now by paying only RM1 / RM2.50 per day, it’s definitely worth it.
