Oooh yeah! I could only afford to own a KIA Forte 4 speed back then and not KIA Forte Koup but my lovely KIA Forte served me well from day 1 till now and I’m still loving it. If you know me and you surely know how much I love my KIA! That’s like a baby to me and it even has a name to it! “BOBI”

I ♥ KIA Forte Koup and you know why! Why? Don’t know? I will tell you now and just read thru along the way k! My life would not less interesting without owing this KIA.

If not because of this KIA Forte I would not have met her and would not have been gone thru what I had been till to date. I need a sexy ride for my Valentine’s Day so that I could be the attraction of the day from my dearest.

Very 1st Naza Kia Forte Owner Gathering @ Desa Park City

It was the very 1st Gathering of all the KIA Forte owner.

A bunch of KIA Forte owner and soon to be owner were gathered at Kluang Station Waterfront Desa Park City. It was a nice Sunday morning where everyone would like to ZzZZzZzzzz more but I sacrificed for my love, Forte. Gathering started from 10am-1pm, so I need to get up around 9 plus which is like a torture for me as Sunday not a working day and supposed to sleep till noon and till the sun beam my butt only get up. Haha.

MyForteClub Charity Drive – Reward back to the society

Our very own MyForte Club Charity Drive initiated by fellow Fortezen (I’m one of them) was kicked off with a blast! Plans were in place to collect donations through any possible forms and to donate to approve orphanages home. We were targeting a minimum of 3 orphanages’ home comprises of various Malaysian races in the spirit of 1Malaysia.

This charity drive was kicked off at last 2 year ago early September and we have came thru a long way and we had successfully raised RM1,100 thru the sales of the Forte Cap. On 28th January, we have decided to channel our 1st fund that we had raised to The Spastic children´s Association of Selangor & Federal Territory, SCASFT. In the future charity drive we may select more home that need.

We not only love our car but we also care about the society and want to rewards back to the society. That’s what our intention and we will continue to workout more charity drive if we could.

Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
CVT uses a belt instead of fixed gears to turn engine torque into power. This means smooth gearshifts, better fuel economy, less engine wear and tear and eco-friendly emissions.

The flexibility of a CVT allows the driving shaft to maintain a constant angular velocity over a range of output velocities. This can provide better fuel economy than other transmissions by enabling the engine to run at its most efficient revolutions per minute (RPM) for a range of vehicle speeds.

Stepped Automatic Transmission (SAT)
Allows you to switch instantly simulates the feel of a standard 6-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, the Saga FLX does not offer the “tiptronic” function as offered in the Inspira/Lancer.

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
In case of emergencies, ABS helps to keep the car stable under hard braking to prevent accident and injury. An anti-lock braking system is a safety system that allows the wheels to continue interacting tractively with the road surface as directed by driver steering inputs while braking, preventing the wheels from locking up and therefore avoiding skidding.

Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)
EBD maximises stopping power and stablility by adjusting force applied to brake on each wheel. EBD is an automobile brake technology that automatically varies the amount of force applied to each of a vehicle’s brakes, based on road conditions, speed, loading, etc.

Always coupled with anti-lock braking systems, EBD can apply more or less braking pressure to each wheel in order to maximize stopping power whilst maintaining vehicular control.

It reduce the risk of sever injuries in the event of collision with the equipped dual SRS airbags. It is an occupant restraint consisting of a flexible envelope designed to inflate rapidly during an automobile collision, to prevent occupants from striking interior objects such as the steering wheel or a window.

Perodua Myvi first arrived on the scene in May 2005. Myvi is the country’s best-selling model for five years. You can see plenty of Myvi on the road.It’s time for a change after so many years, or a complete makeover for Myvi.

The first-generation Myvi was facelifted in August 2008, but now it’s a full revamp and makeover with the arrival of the 2011 Myvi.

These photo were taken back in last year 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motorshow (KLIMS) so is this the same one as shown last year? It doesn’t seems like the New Myvi to me. So could it be another model?

New Myvi launched, priced from RM43,900 to RM57,400

KUALA LUMPUR: After five consecutive years as the country’s best selling car, the Perodua Myvi five-door hatchback has been replaced by a new model that promises better safety, fuel efficiency and a string of new enhancements.

Launched by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin here Thursday night, the new Myvi is available in six variants and priced between RM43,900 and RM57,400 – some RM500 to RM700 more than the previous model.

While still recognisably a Myvi, the new car has a more rounded front end and is 5mm lower to improve its aerodynamics.

Buyers can choose from three grades of Standard, Premium and Elegance, and transmission type of four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual.

The new Myvi is available in six variants.

While maintaining almost the same size as the outgoing model, the latest Myvi now includes electric power steering, projector headlamps and a two-tone dashboard.

In keeping with current automotive trends, the new Myvi includes upgraded safety features.

Where previously only the more expensive variants featured two front airbags, this item is now included across the range.

Also standard are Isofix mounting points for child seats and a three-point seatbelt for the rear centre passenger.

Premium and Elegance grades, however, get additional safety equipment such as anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist.

Audio system for the Standard grade Myvi is the radio/CD type with MP3/WMA but the Premium grade features additional USB and Bluetooth support. The Elegance gets a multimedia system that comes with satellite navigation.

The 1.3-litre engine is derived from the older Myvi model but has been retuned to get an extra 4bhp for a total of 90bhp promising improved performance.

Perodua managing director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said the new car’s improved aerodynamics resulted in better fuel economy, something consumers are looking for in view of rising fuel prices.

“Compared with the old automatic Myvi which can go 13.5km on a litre of petrol, the new automatic model can go 14.6km on the same amount of fuel,” he said.

The original Myvi was launched in May 2005 and some 484,000 units were sold until April. During its six-year run, the model garnered 11 awards.

The new Myvi is sold in ebony black, medallion grey, glittering silver, pearl white, ivory white and a new colour, mystical purple.

Proton Launches ‘Persona – Better, Undoubtedly’ with new ambassadors – DJ Lin, Aanatha & Jack Lim

Are you confidence in yourself? I know that a lot of us, including myself, do have the talents / skills and knowledge but just do not dare to take the next steps that might the stopper to your own success. If we do not take the next steps or overcome our lack of confident, we will be stagnant and will be living in dark forever.

That happened to me few years back where I’m really lack of confident in everything that I do. I will keep asking myself, am I doing the right thing? Will I be success in what I’m doing right now and what if I made the wrong choice and end up in a failure? We tend to care a lot on what other people comment or think of what we do will be the right choice or not, that might be another stopper if your friends or family do not support in what you are planning to do or currently doing.

It took me a long time not to judge myself through someone else eyes. I have actually come out with a tagline for myself to follow and it will be always my guide and now it’s my principle.

“有才华就不要被埋没。有梦想就要去追求。”

– It means, if we have the talents or skills, we must show and prove it, but not keeping it to ourselves. If we have a dream or target, we have to work hard to achieve it!

With that, Proton Edar recently launched the all-new campaign for the Persona called “Persona – Better, Undoubtedly” or “Sememangnya Lebih Sempurna”. This five month will introduces two new Persona Ambassadors, DJ Lin from Suria FM and Aanantha from THR Raaga, who will join the current Persona Ambassador Jack Lim 林德荣 from MY FM (aka Ah Beng) that will engage Malaysians on distinct platform with the theme “inspiring confidence”.

The ‘Better, Undoubtedly’ Campaign sees the three Persona ambassadors take on a new role as mentors, sharing their life lessons to guide people from various backgrounds to face their own challenges. Each of the ambassadors will champion their own programmes which have been developed based on their life experiences.

During the campaign’s course, these three ambassadors who were chosen based on their life experiences, will take on roles as mentors, sharing their life lessons to guide people from various backgrounds to face their own challenges. It’s truly 1Malaysia concept as you can see from the chosen Proton Persona Ambassadors. Each ambassador will have his or her own programme developed based on their respective experiences.

Jack Lim 林德荣, is one of the tough person and he will never give up easily. He has had a difficult beginning before he become a successful radio host and actor, but his determination and ‘never give up’ attitude allowed him to overcome his initial failed attempts to achieve his dreams which he will never achieve if he did no persist.

“Jack Lim : Confidence comes from your preparation for the work. If you want to have more confidence in doing something you have to put effort preparing for it.”

Do you want to boost up your confident level and achieve what you are able to achieve? Jack Lim will attempt a personal challenge and invite others to also take own the challenges that they have always wanted to pursue but were too frightened or lacked the motivation in the ‘Better, Undoubtedly’ Campaign. On Thursday, 12 May, Jack will be attempting a personal challenge to drive from Bukit Kayu Hitam to Johor Bharu, taking inspiration from his father who was a salesman who travelled all over the country, doing everything he could to support the needs of his family.

Once his father even drove non-stop from Thailand to Singapore for work. As a young boy, Jack used to follow his father on some of his journeys, and he was inspired by his father’s determination and perseverance.

During this challenge Jack will be making stops at Butterworth, Ipoh, KL and Johor Bharu. So tune in to MYFM for more details to meet him and be part of his charity challenge.

In addition to Thailand, the all-new global Ranger will be manufactured in South Africa and Argentina for more than 180 markets worldwide. It is the first truck to be built under the One Ford strategy, which brings together the company’s global engineering expertise.

The all-new Ranger was unveiled to the world in Sydney last October, and the Bangkok appearance marks the first time it will be seen in Asia, giving the expected 1.5 million Show visitors a unique and special sight.

- All-new global Ford Ranger debuts in three available cab styles – Regular, Super and Double – and up to five series, giving customers a wider choice

- Ranger’s three new engines – two Duratorq TDCi diesels and one Duratec petrol unit – deliver superior fuel-efficiency

- Ranger is one of the most high-tech compact pickups, featuring smart technologies such as Bluetooth® with Voice Control and Rear View Camera system

- Ranger is sure-footed in all terrain, thanks to best-in-class water-wading capability of up to 800 mm and technologies like Hill Descent Control and Hill Launch Assist

- Class-leading towing capability of up to 3350 kg on selected models proves Ranger’s continued heritage of toughness

Ford’s newest global compact pickup will be offered in three cab bodystyles – Regular, Super and Double – along with an extensive list of practical features that are available in up to five series choices depending on the market. All three cab styles are among the roomiest in the segment.

Also known as Open Cab or RAP (Rear Access Panels) Cab in some markets, the Super Cab is an innovation introduced by Ford on the Ranger in 2002. It has a unique four-door system that provides unobstructed access to the cabin via two forward-hinged doors and two rear-hinged access panels. An uncompromised side-impact safety structure replaces the centre pillar of a traditional Double Cab.

Ranger also comes in 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains and two ride heights with the 4×2 Hi-Rider sharing the same frame as the 4×4 model. The Ford Ranger is among the new vehicles that follow the One Ford platform, the same design/models will be released in all markets.

There will be 3 variants:-
- A new 2.2-litre Ford Duratorq TDCi four-cylinder diesel engine with peak torque output of 375 Nm and power output of 110 kW (150 PS)
- A highly responsive and efficient new 3.2-litre Ford Duratorq TDCi five-cylinder diesel engine with a substantial 470 Nm of torque and power rated at 147 kW (200 PS)
- A 2.5-litre Ford Duratec four-cylinder petrol engine with 226 Nm of torque and outstanding power at 122 kW (166 PS). It can be aftermarket upfitted to run on LPG
