Date: Sunday, May 16, 2010
Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Location: Sepang International Circuit
MyFORTE Club: Forte Owners Club Malaysia has been invited by www.trafficmagonline.com to attend a car club gathering at Sepang International Circuit in conjunction with “Asian Festival Of Speed” (AFOS) on 16th May 2010.
The “Asian Festival of Speed” is recognized regionally and internationally as the premier Asian motorsport event. AFOS comprises of the FIA-Sanctioned Formula V6 Asia, Asian Touring Car Series, ATC-Max, Formula BMW Pacific, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, GT3 Asia and the Formula Asia 2.0.
The organizers have invited all the major car clubs in Malaysia and each club has been allocated a maximum of 30 cars (minimum at least 10 or more) to the event. Each club will given a designated parking and free entry to the AFOS event. All registered car owners will be presented with a certificate of attendance/participation.
Early in the morning, some of us gathered at Puchong Old Boy before we start our journey to Sepang for the AFOS.
This is Kenny busy calling ppl… wakeup call etc as Nizam cannot make it.
Then we met up another group of members before we proceed to AFOS.
Finally we reach Sepang… Saw a lot of different car club there.
After we waited for almost 45mins… All of us getting not that patient anymore… Nur decided not to wait and parked at the open air car park at the side, then all the other members followed… that’s a wise choice I must say! Thank you Nur for leading us to the parking… then we had ice cream there too. Haha.
Look how special the parking was, specially for our Fortezen. =)
There’s nothing much in this AFOS and I must say the event could be better and more interesting if the organizer did more research and more effort on the planning. We do not have place to park inside to display our car too! Arghh… That’s the main objective for us but still we could not achieve that.
Is this Kancil? Haha…
Modded Honda City?
Saw this Sharkfin antenna, good or not? Thinking to mod this too.
Look at this Proton Savvy with only one headlamp?! haha… “Tan Ngan Lou”~!
PSP in car for your leisure too!
Okay there’s some audio showcase… All the audio is damn nice one k… their sound system might caused them 10k? Just look at how many prizes have been awarded to them.
Not much ppl turn up.
All the Fortezen were dying to see those Angels but too disappointed as we didn’t get to see any in close distance except those at the pit area. Angels photop credits to : kahlilphotography
Before we left, we decided to park our car in the main entrance and take some snapshot to show that we are there!
Too hot and thirsty and tired… then we decided to chill @ Ice Room – Nilai! Hahah… What’s happened next? Stay tuned…

We actually setup a live video-conference between each region but due to some technical or communication issue, JB side didn’t get to join us for the Live video streaming between us. Date : 1st May 2010 Time : 9am-12pm Venue : Central Region – Puchong Old Boy, North Region – Penang Auto City, South Region – Johor Danga Street Mall
Last Sunday, a bunch of Forte owner and soon to be owner were gathered at Kluang Station Waterfront Desa Park City. It was a nice Sunday morning where everyone would like to ZzZZzZzzzz more but I sacrificed for my love, Forte. Gathering started from 10am-1pm, so I need to get up around 9 plus which is like a torture for me as Sunday not a working day and supposed to sleep till noon and till the sun beam my butt only get up. Haha.
When I reached Kluang Station there’s no one there… and I don’t see any Forte at the front or Car Park 1… so I was wondering am I at the right place for the gathering. I’m a soon to be Forte owner and the reason I join in this Forte Owner TT was that I would like to meet the owners and get some feedback, comments, tips and check out the lovely Forte in a big group.
So I thought maybe those Forte were parked at the Car Park 2, so I walk to check it out and was happy to see so many Forte parked there. The view was awesome. So colorful as there’s White Forte, Titanium Silver Forte, Bright Silver Forte, Spicy Red Forte, Black Forte… Really wish my Forte was with me =(
Then we had a Chit Chat / Teh Tarik (TT) session at Kluang Station and yeah all the Forte owners were really friendly. Awesome bunch of ppl. Some asking about Car Tinting (AirCool, 3M, SafeTint, TintMaster), Car Rim (16″/17″), Fuel Efficiency, Car handling, PPS / Sierra Glow (Additional layer to protect car paint) etc, but it’s really a nice catch up with everyone. We try out the heat at all the different car with different tint after the car parked under the sun for quite sometime and I actually don’t feel much different between tinted and the non-tinted Forte! =p
Then we start to camwhore with the lovely Fortesss! Check out the camwhore photo below…
Check out this White Forte After Glow… Isn’t it awesome? Also the Naza emblem has been replaced with KIA emblem.
This Spicy Red Forte is very unique as not much ppl own it! Cool? =)
Check out the owners!
Check out some of the comments from the Forte Owner.
Comment by Phelix :
for me, forte is really comfort car, NVH is good.. on par with civic. FC wise really depends.. this car gives good FC when u r on highway.. as low as 6l/100km.. but when u stuck in jam… FC increase slowly.. i see it from 8.6l/100km increased to 11.2l/100km.. despite about resell value.. forte gives best of bang.. guaranteed.
maintenance wise.. most of them choose synthetic oil but i go for mineral.. performance wise slightly better (u can feel it after u serviced ur car, try it.. haha).
and overall till now, after my friend viewed my car only give thumbs up.
Comment by Julian :
1. Why did you choose to buy the Forte?
Its an excellent-value-for money product with many great features and very importantly its safety features. Oh yes..its got the looks too, super cool and sleek design! For the money I’m paying, this Forte is definitely worth it, if not more. It’s just brilliant, a class on its own! In short…its beauty, style and power which is my Forte.
2. What do you like most of the Forte?
Can i say there’s nothing I don’t like? Hahaha… I love the Push Start button! It’s so cool! And, the overall design and safety features. When I took my Forte home for the first time, my good neighbour came over and gave it the 2-thumbs up! Makes me so proud of my Forte. To be honest, I’m no car enthusiast, thus, car engines and the works are like rocket science to me. Hahaha… Thus, I’d like to reserve my comments on these but from what I read from the reviews, forums, etc.. However, I’d like to add that after having this ‘baby’ for 1 month, I’ve no doubt about its performance and drivability.
This was the metal that we need to hold it all the time during the health check, it’s even scary is the machine will sound like siren.
Check on leg too.
Arghh… luckily I cut my toe nails yesterday night. =p
Result was written down on the paper.
5xMom using view cam to record down on health check process…
The machine that do all the work. It will sound like siren when doing the check. It must be range between 50-55 so that it’s normal.
Then my turn to do it.
In the process of checking…
My health check result.
When the doctor explaining my result, I looked scare because I’m not healthy… oh no.
*drum roll*
Healthiest Blogger Award goes to RedMummy.
And
The Unhealthiest Blogger Award goes to… *everyone was silent for a moment..* saimatkong!
So sad. Sumore they gave me a plastic ball, badminton racket and all the other sports equipment to indicate that I need more exercise to live a healthier lifestyle.
Winner vs Loser.
Another award was the dress code award, which only one came in the dress code, congrats Kenny Sia.
Then before conclude the session, we had a Q&A session.
Wait… we still have a Q&A question, don’t go home 1st!
Thinking how to answer the bloggers’ questions.
Mr Tan trying his best to cover all the questions and giving some tips on insurance and PRUhealth.
Group photo of all the bloggers.
Before we leave, each of us was given a goodies bags and a Omron – Walking Style, to analyze the data regarding our personal physical activity. So far I used it for one week and it’s almost the same except when I go to 1 Utama Shopping. Haha. Shopping is a good exercise too.
“Finally, a medical plan that rewards us for being healthy, and covers us when we are not!”
Let me tell you some important point: -
PRUhealth lets you enjoy something new and outstanding which you can’t find in the current market
- No Claim Bonus (NCB)
If you are familiar with this term NCB then you should have a better picture of it. It’s actually very simple, if you stay healthy and do not make any claim in the year then you are entitled for this bonus. PRUhealth will reward you with a No Claim Bonus (NCB) by purchasing additional units for your investment in the following year. The amount of bonus paid depends on the plan that you have chosen. The NCB is up to RM500 which is benefiting people like you and me.
It’s actually very good and flexible plan, because I see this from the Car Insurance perspective as I never ever claim any single cents from the insurance because I’m a safe driver and hence the bonus is good for me if not it’s like you are just paying the insurance company without getting anything but only when accident happens. So this is benefiting us right?
- Choice of plans to suit your budget & Annual Limit Waiver
Everyone deserves to be covered. Whether you’re a student surviving on a low income, a newly wedded couple or enjoying your golden years, you’ll find a PRUhealth plan to suit your needs. Enjoy full protection with premiums from as low as RM100 a month.
Most medical plans impose a limit on how much you can claim every year. What most people don’t realise is that face that this annual limit can easily be exceeded should you need major surgery or treatment. PRUhealth now has the option of waiving that limit so you can claim up to the lifetime limit. Particularly helpful if you ever need to undergo major surgery or treatment
- Coverage of up to 100 years old (Wow, don’t know can live up to that old or not)
With rising standards in healthcare, the average life expectancy is increasing steadily. As we age, we are more prone to getting sick. With medical expenses going up every year, it will cost more to seek treatment in the future. It’s reason enough to ensure adequate protection well into your golden years, especially when you need it most and by doing that you will not burden you children on the expensive medical fees.
So stay healthy and get rewarded today! =)
After the briefing session, we went on with other activities of the days.
While some doing health check, some gang were chit chatting, some were cam whoring…
All gathered along with Kenny Sia and chat with him and talk about his new fitness center.
Saw a cat so thought of snapping it as it’s so cute and adorable.
While the rest were doing health check, I go relax =p. I’m did Spa massage. woo… 1st time doing hot stone massage.
Vila Manja has a nice and relaxing environment.
See the hot stone?! They are really hot! Haha.
Thanks ky for snapping this picture for me before the massage session, look so excited.
Did some filtering to filter out my layer of fats. OMG. If not looks like Michelins Man.
After the massage feels like my bone even sore and pain. Regretted choosing hot stone massage, should have chosen relaxing massage or something lighter.
Then had my lunch while waiting for my turn to do the health check.
Nice lunch but scare to eat a lot because might affect the check later. Haha.
It was a lovely Saturday morning and I reluctant to get myself up of the bed because it’s a weekend and the only day that could sleep till noon, but think of the massage, it jumped up. Bangun pagi, gosok gigi, cuci muka, mini susu…
After prepared myself and was wondering what to wear for the PruHealth’s briefing for bloggers, because there’s a theme for it. It’s either a life saving doctor? a patient? Or a health freak? I see that I don’t fit to any of the category so I decided to wear a simple shirt and jeans. Luckily all of the other bloggers didn’t wear something special so that it will not make me abnormal and outstanding, except Kenny Sia who came with sportswear just like after jogging. Guess what? He will be automatically the winner as no one was competing for the best dress blogger. Haha.
Lilian (5xmom) was the 1st to arrive, because she and her family drove all the way from Penang (Food Island) as early as 4-5am, really salute her. This was the 1st time meeting Lilian in real person as we always talk and chit chat on the virtual world which is the Internet. Then me and Lilian went on to snap snap around the whole vila before other bloggers arrive.
look at the angle she took, so pro. =p
Look, it’s a really nice environment to have a gathering and this is the 1st time ever event and briefing at Spa. Woo~~ Nice =)
Got award sumore~
Nicely setup and decorated for the Pruhealth event, even toy stethoscope… etc.
More blogger arrived and they started to camwhore…
1…2…3… jump… aiks fell into the water. oops. *evil smile*
