A bunch of KIA Forte owner and soon to be owner were gathered at Kluang Station Waterfront Desa Park City. It was a nice Sunday morning where everyone would like to ZzZZzZzzzz more but I sacrificed for my love, Forte. Gathering started from 10am-1pm, so I need to get up around 9 plus which is like a torture for me as Sunday not a working day and supposed to sleep till noon and till the sun beam my butt only get up. Haha.

MyForteClub Charity Drive – Reward back to the society

Our very own MyForte Club Charity Drive initiated by fellow Fortezen (I’m one of them) was kicked off with a blast! Plans were in place to collect donations through any possible forms and to donate to approve orphanages home. We were targeting a minimum of 3 orphanages’ home comprises of various Malaysian races in the spirit of 1Malaysia.

This charity drive was kicked off at last 2 year ago early September and we have came thru a long way and we had successfully raised RM1,100 thru the sales of the Forte Cap. On 28th January, we have decided to channel our 1st fund that we had raised to The Spastic children´s Association of Selangor & Federal Territory, SCASFT. In the future charity drive we may select more home that need.

We not only love our car but we also care about the society and want to rewards back to the society. That’s what our intention and we will continue to workout more charity drive if we could.

In line with the Chinese New Year celebration of 2012, the Ren Chen Year of the Dragon, Jia Yu Channel (Astro Channel 304) hosted an all star concert entitled “Jia Yu Chinese New Year Concert 2012 《家娱户晓迎新岁2012》新春晚会” on Saturday 7 January 2012 at the Genting Arena of Stars.

The mission at Jia Yu has been to provide world class entertainment to locals of all age groups. In line with this, the “Jia Yu Chinese New Year Concert 2012’’ presented in a format that while both contemporary and cutting edge is still respectful to the Chinese traditions and customs that have been passed down through the many generations, to give younger audiences a greater appreciation of the heritage entrusted to them.

One of the major highlights of the “Jia Yu Chinese New Year Concert 2012” is the alliance of singers from the three major ethnic groups in Malaysia. Led by a strong hosting lineup comprising of Liz 丽诗 from Jia Yu and popular MyFM deejays Wan Wai Fun 尹匯雰 and Jeff Chin 陈浩然, the event is to feature performances by a whole host of artistes and celebrities, including Malaysia’s “Prince of Love Songs” Michael Wong, legendary songstress Sheila Majid, Yise Loo, Manhand, Danny Wan, Amy Wang, Zhuang Xue Zhong, Xiao Hei, Pop Pop Angels, Teen Angels, Little Angels and the finalists from “Pop Star 2011”.

Additionally, the “Jia Yu Chinese New Year Concert 2012” will form part of the Channel’s upcoming Chinese New Year TV Special programme, where viewers will be taken on a nostalgic trip down memory lane revisiting how Chinese New Year has been celebrated through the years. Featuring classic hit songs and the fashions of each era starting from the 70’s, viewers will witness the evolution of Chinese New Year festival through the years to today’s modern extravagant celebrations.

Another highlight will be the presentation of the 24 Season Drum, Dragon Dance and Lion Dance by the famous “Kun Seng Keng” Dragon & Lion Dance Association from Muar. Featuring a heart-stopping performance filled with stunts and acrobatics, it is sure to get adrenaline of viewers pumping.

So coming 2012, keep an eye out for Jia Yu’s Chinese New Year Special, which will include distinctively local elements from China and Thailand for viewers to better understand the unique Chinese New Year customs and traditions from other parts of the world. This festive programme is scheduled to go on air in Malaysia, China and Thailand on 22 January 2012 (Chinese New Year’s Eve), starting from 8:30pm; and will enjoy simultaneous broadcast in Brunei, Singapore, Taiwan, North America and Europe.

In the meantime, full coverage of “Jia Yu Chinese New Year Concert 2012” will go on air during the night of Chap Goh Meh, in order to accompany viewers on the last day of the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.

家娱频道（Astro304）主办的《家娱户晓迎新岁2012》新春晚会已在云顶云星剧场圆满结束。

当晚家娱频道主持Liz丽诗联同 MyFM DJ尹匯雰以及Jeff陈浩然主持此盛会，而参与其盛的马来西亚三大民族艺人则包括情歌王子光良、大马天后Sheila Majid，Yise罗忆诗、Manhand、Danny温力铭、Amy王明丽、庄学忠、小黑、棒棒天使、花样年华、小天使，和POP Star 2011 决赛歌手等。

现场观众爆满，热情的观众暖和了云顶冰冷的天气。开场就有充满气势的麻坡关圣宫龙狮团特别结合了廿四节令鼓、舞龙、舞狮呈现一个特别的传统文化表演，接着就是艺人们呈现新年组曲，向观众拜年。

庄学忠首次公开演唱为IPC集团自创的歌曲《IPC之歌》。小黑在主持人要求之下以多种方言来向观众拜年，先用福建再用广东话祝大家新年快乐。为了配合这次新春晚会的主题“传统与创新”，温力铭和罗忆诗合唱了只用了短短一天时间创作的新年歌曲，结合了《财神到》和Rap，让全场震撼。

而另一创举更是由Pop Star 2011决赛歌手所呈现长达２０分钟的７０年代至今的怀旧歌曲。虽然不常站在大舞台表演，但惊人的表现令人佩服。 首首耳熟能详的金曲成功引领大家随着音乐回到“那些年”，沉醉其中久久不能回神。王明丽这次也唱出了自己的新歌。

为了让大家更熟悉年的传说，当晚更以创新的方式，街舞呈现年兽的传说。希望借此机会能够让更多的人认识我们华人传统的习俗。Manhand 则是先用Rap和大家问候和拜年，赢得全场的掌声，也跟着摇摆。

Sheila Majid的歌声更是能够让大家陶醉在内，观众们都静静的欣赏与享受她的歌声。她也多次和观众朋友以华语和大家说“我爱你”，观众也轰动起来。身为马来西亚医疗旅游大使光良更是当晚的压轴歌手，带来两首新专辑的之外，也唱出世纪K歌“童话”，现场立即变成一个大K房。

Harith Iskander telling jokes, some of his jokes really good and most of it is localized to Malaysian or Singaporean! I remember two of his jokes, he said the translation of our movie in cinema fail big time because – “Holy Shit” will be translated to “Tahi Suci” and “One Night Stand” will be translated to “Satu Malam Berdiri!”. Lolz…

由DiGi荣誉呈献、金河广场和吉隆坡宏愿合作社主办、万能及Midea联合赞助、LG为指定手机、指定电台MY FM以及astro为指定电视台的年度跨年盛大派对《金河MY MUSIC劲歌跨年派对》演出阵容已经落实！来自港台新马巨星势必要大家有个劲歌的跨年派对！

参与的歌手包括香港的王祖蓝和陈智燊、新加坡的Olivia Ong、台湾的Sigma，以及“大马帮”歌手如ManHanD、王明丽、张诒博、谢佳见、马嘉轩和钟瑾桦。到时候，众星将在12月31日（星期六）晚上9时半，云集在金河广场正门口封街开唱，预计吸引超过8万名观众齐狂欢倒数2012年！

金河广场特别于今天举行了是次活动的记者会兼推介礼，参与演出的大马歌手出席支持，包括ManHanD、王明丽、张诒博、谢佳见、马嘉轩和钟瑾桦。

同时Astro新秀出身的乐坛新人张诒博和钟瑾桦，两人也将会在舞台上“尬歌”，挑战西洋流行曲。虽然来自同一个歌唱比赛出身，却不同唱片公司的歌手能擦出怎样的火花？大家肯定非常期待。第二年参与金河广场倒数派对的ManHanD今年除了演唱自己的歌曲外，更首度在倒数派对上将其他歌手的歌曲融入在ManHanD的曲子哦！

为了使演出更加顺利，金河广场前的苏丹依斯迈路（Jalan Sultan Ismail）将从12月31日（星期六）凌晨12时01分开始封路直到1月1日（星期日）早上6时。

今年的派对主题为劲歌，届时，所有参与演出的歌手将在Live band乐队的伴奏下演唱多首劲歌热舞外，也会挑战其余流行曲，势必让大家跟着音乐合唱及摇摆，用动感的旋律来迎接全新的一年。

金河广场宣传及公关部高级经理林国庆表示，去年金河广场大胆尝试以Live band伴奏后获得空前热烈的反应，更让现场粉丝的热情推向更高潮。“所以今年再次以乐队现场伴奏形式，势必要将现场气氛炒至最高点。”

他也表示，所有参与演出歌手将会在舞台上和大家一起倒数，现场也会燃放璀璨5分钟的烟花，势必让大家度过一个与众不同的2012全新一年！

Any suggestion? Don’t want to go KL countdown lo too jam… Pavilion, Bukit Bintang, Sg Wang, KLCC sure jam… Some road will be closed for the countdown party too. So if you want go KL for countdown I suggest you to take public transport LRT as the business hours should be extended .

The 4th branch of wholesome family karaoke joint, 大嘴叭卡拉OK Loud Speaker Karaoke, is now in First Subang Mall.

In conjunction with this, Loud Speaker had organized a grand opening ceremony, well-known singer Eric Lim and 慢行 ManHanD were invited to witness this historical moment.

In addition, the mascot of Loud Speaker also made its first appearance in the public.

以健康家庭式及貼心服務為目標的“大嘴叭”卡拉OK，其第四間分店昨晚（9/12）在雪州首邦的 First Subang Mall 歡慶開張，配合新張營業，該公司特別請來了歌手林健輝 Eric Lim 和嘻哈團體 慢行 Manhand 與“大嘴叭”首席執行長蘇連喜、兩位董事蘇秋佩以及 Devan Manickam 一同主持開幕儀式。

嘉賓歌手們除了主持開幕儀式外，在大會司儀的帶動下，他們也在台上與粉絲的互動玩游戲，而且還玩得不亦樂乎。另外，“大嘴叭”也在現場推介他們的吉祥物-寶寶。可愛的寶寶一亮相就讓現場的觀眾為之瘋狂，大家都爭著與它拍照。

目前正筹备专辑的快乐王子林健辉 Eric Lim 表示正处于编曲阶段，预计会在3、4月推出久违多时的音乐作品，而他表示也积极健身，戒盐糖饭油，只吃鸡胸肉与蔬菜，并每日保持健身。

Bank Negara Malaysia is pleased to announce the introduction of Malaysia’s new currency series. Launched by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the new currency series comprises newly designed banknotes and coins. The banknotes issued are in the denominations of RM1, RM5, RM10, RM20 and RM100 and will be available for circulation in the second half of 2012. The RM50 denomination banknote for the new currency series is already in circulation. For this new series, polymer substrate is used to make the RM1 and RM5 banknotes.

The coins for this series, with denominations of 5 sen, 10 sen, 20 sen and 50 sen, were launched earlier on 25 July 2011 and will be introduced into circulation in January 2012.

The latest series of Malaysian banknotes draws its inspiration from the distinctive features of Malaysia, incorporating elements of the country’s natural treasures, culture and heritage. Themed ‘Distinctively Malaysia’, the banknotes features traditional expressions in the art and craft, natural wonders, flora and fauna and the economy.

The new series of banknotes incorporated enhanced security features in line with the latest advancements in banknote technology. The security features for the new banknotes include shadow image, clear window, watermark portrait with pixel and highlighted numerals, colour shifting security thread, micro lens thread, perfect see-through register, coloured glossy patch for public recognition. Other features include tactile identification which enables the visually impaired to identify and distinguish the different denominations.

Bank Negara Malaysia is issuing commemorative banknotes to mark the introduction of the new currency series. Three types of commemorative banknote collections will be offered for sale as follows:

-A collection of two banknotes (RM1 and RM5 denomination) – 500,000 sets priced at RM15.00 each.
-A collection of a single banknote (RM20 denomination) – 500,000 sets priced at RM30.00 each.
-A collection of six banknotes (RM1, RM5, RM10, RM20, RM50 and RM100 denominations) – 50,000 sets priced at RM300.00 each. For each set of this collection, all the banknote denominations will carry the same serial number.

The Obverse Side of the Banknote

All banknote denominations in the new series retain the portrait of the first Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman ibni Tuanku Muhammad, the national flower Rosa-sinensis hibiscus (known locally as the ‘Bunga Raya’), the face value of the banknote, the words ‘Bank Negara Malaysia’ as the issuing authority of the banknotes and patterns of traditional woven fabric the ‘songket’ which are in the background and edges of the banknote to reflect traditional Malaysian textile handicraft and embroidery. Other features include the tactile identification for the visual impaired, watermark portrait with pixel and highlighted numerals.

The Reverse Side of the Banknote

The reverse side of each banknote features different elements of nature, tradition, culture, flora, fauna and the economy that are distinctively Malaysian. The new banknotes also retain the Bank Negara Malaysia logo, serial numbers, Jawi wordings and songket weave patterns on the reverse side of the banknotes.

The new series banknotes are legal tender and will co-circulate with the existing series. The existing series will be gradually phased out.

Bank Negara Malaysia is working closely with financial institutions, businesses and cash handling vendors to ensure a smooth transition to the new currency series. Vendors of cash handling machines will be given six months to calibrate their machines to ensure convenience for the use of the new banknotes.

Sales Outlets for the New Malaysia Banknotes

The commemorative banknotes are available for sale from 22 December 2011 at Bank Negara Malaysia’s headquarters (BNMLINK) and its branches located in Pulau Pinang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
