It has been exciting 6 months since Panasonic did their very first PHOTONISTA campaign back in June 2012. In line with the Photonista Campaign, Panasonic proud to introduce 6 different new models and 3 interchangeable lens.
I was invited to the launch with few of the bloggers and media @ Bahamas Room Level 12, Sunway Hotel. I have captured everything in my Panasonic Lumix LX7! Hehe. Nice and you must check out the video in HD too! Love the low light capturing and just love the constant F1.4! It’s crispy clear and I’m loving my Lumix LX7!
Not only that, with the 24mm ultra wide angle high quality LEICA lens, I able to camwhore with friends without much hassle! Just look at the camwhore photo above and you know it’s super nice and sharp!
Check this out, it’s shot with Lumix LX7. It has really nice depth-of-field for a camera this size.
The Lumix LX7 shoots beautiful daylight photos, and fairly decent ones in low-light. This is the best ever feature that needed most where most of the time we need to shoot in low light condition and still able to get an acceptable good quality photo!
Panasonic presented this voucher for us to claim our gift after the launch which I think it’s good because we do not need to carry the gift around but to collect it just right after the event end. It’s a Panasonic hair dryer! Thank you so much as I needed a hair dryer badly, just in time!
Before the launch, there’s lunch severed at Fuzion – Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. I enjoyed the food there as there’s lot’s of variety, Local Delights, Western, Japanese and yummy desserts! Burrppp ;D
After the lunch we headed back to Bahamas Room for the launch.

The cameras are eco friendly with high energy efficiency allowing us to shoot more pictures on a single charged as compared to the older models! That’s what most people looking! With this eco friendly technology, I don’t need to worry on battery running low and miss some of the precious moment to be captured with my Lumix LX7!

Marketing director Hidekazu Sasaki said through the campaign, the company had strengthened its position in the mirrorless category, pushing it to the leadership position.
“We have held the 27 per cent market share from April to September and hope to maintain this figure and position in the segment, especially with the launch of new models,” he added.

The newly added G line of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras include the Lumix G5 and Lumix GH3.
The Lumix G5 is capable of achieving an even higher resolution thanks to the advanced image processing engine driven on a new algorithm and faster response time. In addition to this, the camera also packs a 1,440,000-dot electronic viewfinder with a near 100% field of view for easy composition.
On the other hand, the Lumix GH3 is a robust digital imaging option that is built to withstand the extreme conditions of heavy field use due to its splash- and dust-proof construction. It is offering features equivalent to that of a DSLR without the extra weight and size! This is just too good to be truth right!
Designed for casual everyday usage, the Lumix LX7 offers users a 24mm ultra wide angle LEICA DC VARIO SUMMILUX lens, which is capable of an F1.4 aperture at the wide end and F2.3 at the tele end. With the 1/1.7-inch 10.1 MP MOS sensor, the Lumix LX7 also offers a 1.5dB S/N ratio.

This stunning bright lens, LEICA DC VARIO SUMMILUX lens with F1.4 aperture, can give impressive expression to the image by reproducing exquisite gradation and mellow defocus!
The quality of the pictures and videos, I can say it’s on par with DSLR! So for now on I will be relying on this awesome camera instead of my bulky and heavy DSLR, not only that, it’s with HD video capturing capability which my DSLR lacking of, now with this Lumix LX7, I’m complete and able to take high quality video! This will help me greatly in my blogging experience!
For the FZ series, Panasonic also unveiled two new super zoom cameras : the Lumix FZ60 and Lumix FZ200, which both offer a 24x optical zoom. With this optical zoom you can take good pictures from far and catch more candid shoots!
The Lumix FZ60 is the more affordable option with a 16.1MP High Sensitivity MOS sensor that was specifically designed for it. On the other hand, Lumix FZ200, comes packed with a 1,312,000-dot EVF and POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) to take sharp and clear photos even at the highest focal length.

I personally love this camera a lot as the design is very solid and very comfortable to hold. There are a lot of physical controls and the LCD screen is bright and clear. The experience with Lumix LX7 is just awesome! It’s fast and accurate! It locks onto a focal point, lightning quick, and fires off shots instantaneously.
There are physical manual controls for just about everything, which means you rarely have to dive into a complicated menu to tweak your photo settings.
There’s also a lot of scene selection where the one that I find useful to me is the “food” scene where you just choose that and start shooting with your food and it’s so easy! Check out the food photo below.
Besides the scene, I find that the Creative Control mode that incorporated to the DMC-LX7 is really cool. The available filters are Soft Focus, Dynamic Monochrome, Impressive Art, One Point Color, Cross Process, Low Key, Toy Effect, Star Filter, Expressive, Retro, High Key, Sepia, High Dynamic (HDR), Miniature Mode Effect. It’s like having Instagram in your camera that you may play with different effects for different kind of photo.

PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ Passes Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ For YouTube Crown
Viral smash has earned over 800 million views in four months.
PSY’s “Gangnam Style” is now the most-watched YouTube video of all time.
The 4:13 clip from the South Korean rapper has earned approximately 803,761,000 views since it was posted on July 15, 2012. Early on Saturday, that total passed the longtime YouTube champ — the music video for Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” which has garnered 803,732,000 views since its February 2010 release.
“Gangnam Style” already set YouTube’s record for the Most Liked video ever posted to the site, with its total now standing at 5.3 million Likes and 323,000 Dislikes. Bieber’s “Baby” clip has 1.4 million Likes and 3.1 million Dislikes.
Bieber’s “Baby” clip enjoyed an impressive run at the top of the YouTube heap, becoming the most-watched video on the site in July 2010. At that time, the clip had collected more than 246 million views to leapfrog over Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
“#GangnamStyle just became the most watched video @YouTube!! #History,” PSY posted to Twitter on Saturday morning in celebration of the achievement.
Over the four months since the “Gangnam Style” video was posted on YouTube, PSY and his electro-pop anthem has inspired nothing short a pop culture phenomenon. The veteran K-pop artist has performed the “Gangnam Style” dance alongside Britney Spears, Madonna and most recently MC Hammer at the 2012 American Music Awards. In early September, the 34-year-old signed to Scooter Braun’s Schoolboy Records, to become label mates with Bieber.
“Gangnam Style” peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Hot 100, spending seven weeks in the runner-up spot behind Maroon 5′s “One More Night.” PSY was able to climb to the top spot of Billboard’s Social 50 tally in late August thanks to the viral success of “Gangnam.”

Psy, whose real name is Park Jae-sang, has become an international star since Gangnam Style’s release in July.
Psy’s song, which pokes fun at the fashion-conscious residents of an upmarket neighbourhood in Seoul, has topped charts around the world, selling more than 4m copies worldwide.
An array of public figures, including the Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei, the sculptor Anish Kapoor, and UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon have copied his “horse riding” dance. Tribute videos include a parody by students from Eton, which has been viewed more than 2.7m times.
In October Gangnam Style became the first Korean song to top the official UK pop chart.

‘McBreakfast’ giveaway a big hit
Mc-nificent deal: Early birds queuing for a free Egg McMuffin at a McDonald’s outlet in Petaling Jaya.
PETALING JAYA: Over 200,000 Malaysians took part in McDonald’s Breakfast Day, thronging restaurants nationwide to get their free Egg McMuffin breakfast.
At the Mutiara Damansara drive-through branch, 800 out of the 1,000 free Egg McMuffins were given out by 8.30am, with some customers arriving as early as 6.30am.
Queuing patiently, they were let into the restaurant in batches of 20 to prevent overcrowding.
Even the drive-through area was packed with cars and motorcycles waiting in line to collect their breakfast, comprising an English muffin, cheese, egg and sausage.
Chong Kam Mooi, 65, said she came on a “breakfast date” with her neighbours after hearing about the Egg McMuffin giveaway on television.
“We are very close and often go out for meals together. We thought this was a great way to enjoy free breakfast after going for our tai chi exercise this morning.”
Car salesman Calvin Wong, 40, said he brought his two young children, Zane and Renee, to McDonald’s for the free Egg McMuffin.
“My children love eggs. We normally have bread and eggs for breakfast. I’m very happy that McDonald’s is giving out a good breakfast,” he said.
McDonald’s Malaysia and Singapore regional manager Sarah Casanova said some 170 workers at the head office had volunteered to help out at their local branches and serve customers.
Casanova, also McDonald’s Malaysia managing director, said she believed this initiative to encourage the “breakfast movement” was the first of its kind in the world.
Customers who missed out on the breakfast were given vouchers to redeem a Sausage McMuffin from tomorrow to Sunday.
The vouchers can also be found in local newspapers.
Yut Kee is one of the grand old lady of the Kuala Lumpur kopitiam scene having been established since 1928. It’s 84 years to-date! Today it’s being run by the third generation of the family.
This was my first visit to Yut Kee Restaurant at Jalan Dang Wangi which is just a walking distance from Nuffnang office. I heard of this restaurant for quite sometime and finally get to try it out but it’s really disappointed with the food there as it’s not as good as expected?!
Yut Kee always flooded with customers and the queue is never ending. You have to share tables with other customers and there’s no privacy when you eating and the environment is really bad where the works will shout for orders and so noisy.
Yut Kee’s Hainanese Chicken Chop 益记鸡扒 – RM8.50
Yut Kee’s Chicken Chop is very popular as it seems but I would say it’s really over-rated and it’s not at the best it seems maybe the standard drop or so?
The gravy for the Chicken Chop rather bland and it is served with few pieces of potato wedges, onions & mixed vegetable. The Chicken Chop seems over cook or rather burnt and the taste of the chicken chop is so so and nothing to shout about. It’s not only that but it served in small portion too!
You can get better Hainanese chicken chop in Kluang Station or Restaurant Sin Kee @ Brickfield? I yet to try out the chicken chop @ Sin Kee but would definitely go for it if it’s good!

Look at the Roast Pork!
Two slices of roasted pork roll served with apple sauce. Crispy and crunchy skin. I have read somewhere saying that this is Aunt Margaret’s roasted pork but the name is not be seen in Yut Kee.
To me, the roast pork is not really awesome too, if you ask me I have tried the better one at S’more, Bangsar South.

Too bad, but I don’t have a chance to taste it because was too full then and to me that the food is not as nice and tasty so dropped the idea.

The steamed bread with kaya & butter is just so so and you could get a better one out there at any kopitiam. Perhaps PappaRich‘s steamed bread with kaya & butter is better than this!

Microsoft Malaysia (“Microsoft”) unveiled its latest operating system, Windows 8! It’s the much awaited operating system after Windows 7 and all the other successful previous Windows.
Windows 8 is designed for a no-compromise experience for work and play across multiple devices (desktop-based All-in-Ones, to laptops and ultrabooks, as well as new hybrid and tablet models). It’s so smooth and so fluid experience with Windows 8.
I was invited to the launched on Monday 29th October @ Plaza Lowyat, Kuala Lumpur. It was my first experience with Windows 8 and seeing the demo itself already make me want to own one of the device equipped with this latest Microsoft Windows 8! This Operating System really do wonders!
The launch started with a dance custom to Microsoft Windows 8 theme by Katoon Network. They were Astro 舞极限 Battleground 2011 winner. The performance was great and it grabs all of the audience attention with the unique dance choreograph.

Today, this is best exemplified through the launch of Windows 8!” declared Ananth Lazarus, Managing Director of Microsoft Malaysia.
He continued, “With the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft is unveiling a re-imagined Windows to the world. Whether you want a tablet or a PC, whether you want to consume or create content, whether you want to work or play – Windows 8 delivers a no-compromise, immersive personalized experience that fits your unique style and needs.”
The highly anticipated touch-optimized operating system, Windows 8, has garnered more than 16 million preview participants to date and is considered to be the most tested, reviewed and ready operating system in Microsoft’s history with over 1.24 billion hours of testing.
Some of the main features of Windows 8 include the new fast and fluid Start screen that gives people one-click access to the apps and content they care most about. In addition, the entirely new Internet Explorer 10 has been perfectly designed for touch and offers built-in cloud storage capabilities with SkyDrive.
The Live Tiles feature in Windows 8, meanwhile, provides seamless connectivity to multiple social applications thus delivering updated information at a glance without the hassle of attending to multiple applications simultaneously.
There’s wide industry support from partners and app developers. With the support it will definitely boost the usability of Windows 8 hence it will bring more sales to and it’s in a cycle!
With the immediate availability of Windows 8, we will also have access to a plethora of new Windows 8 optimized PCs and tablets plus a wide range of local and international apps from the new Windows Store. This is definitely benefit us because there’s more choices of hardware that will suit to our usage and that will also means that the cheaper in price as there’s plenty of devices available in the market!
As of launch date, hardware partners in Malaysia have announced the availability of Windows 8 certified devices which are available at all major retail outlets.
These include ultrabooks, tablets and hybrid devices from Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, Sony, and Toshiba. All these devices are really powerful and nicely build embedded with the power of Windows 8!
“The support from our partners is critical for the success of Windows 8 and as you can witness today, there is an array of brand new, exciting devices and apps — all carefully designed to work beautifully with Windows 8,” said Ananth.
In addition to the wide range of new devices available for Windows 8, Windows 8 computing experience can be enhanced by downloading the thousands of apps that are available from the new Windows Store. If a canggih device + canggih OS without apps that would be a useless laptop / tablet!
On to of that, Windows Store is cloud connected, which means that our settings automatically follow across Windows 8 devices and can get to all the apps they have purchased on any device. It’s seamless and it’s so convenient with this as you do not need to download each of the app one by one which will takes time.
We can browse thousands of apps or use the Search Charm to quickly find the app we are looking for. What make it best is that, we can even try the apps before we decided to make a purchase to an app that we are not sure whether it suit us or not, so it will not be a wastage on some apps that not useful to us.
There are two ways to access the Charm Bar, the first is by moving the cursor to the bottom right corner of the screen which will cause the bar to appear on the right or you can use the Windows key + C shortcut on your keyboard.
Local momentum for Windows 8 adoption has been encouraging. There are already some of the popular local apps that are immediately available for download include apps from The Star Online, MYDIN, AirAsia, DiGi and Sunway Lifestyle.

Passion8 Project to engage fans
In conjunction with the launch of Windows 8, local celebrities Noh Salleh (better known as Noh from the local music band Hujan) and Mizz Nina have also announced their collaboration with Microsoft in an online project known as Passion8.
Under this project which will run for eight weeks, Mizz Nina and Noh will use technology as a platform to engage with their fans on their respective passions – fashion for Mizz Nina and music for Noh. Apart from interacting with fans on various social media platforms, the Passion8 Project will also be aired on 8TV over eight weeks.
According to both Mizz Nina and Noh, the Passion8 project represents the ideal opportunity for them and their fans to share their experience, exchange ideas, culture, music and fashion, and ultimately to bring to live the magic moments through technology.
“The music industry is filled with all sorts of exciting elements, challenges and accomplishments. But all this means nothing without my fans that choose to be a part of my musical journey,” said Noh, adding that fans can engage with him and contribute towards a piece of music that he will compose during the Passion8 project.

This program is available for consumers buying new Windows 7 PCs that are preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate and include a matching and valid OEM Certificate of Authenticity. ASTRO ON DEMAND AWARDS 2012 KICKS OFF WITH ONLINE VOTING
The star-studded 2012 Astro On Demand Awards kicks off with its online voting campaign, giving fans the opportunity to vote for their favourite stars and TV shows across 12 nominee categories. The campaign was launched together with TVB artistes Aimee Chan 陳茵媺, Jason Chan 陳智燊, Florence Kwok 郭少芸 and Ku Ming Wah 古明華 who were present at the promotional tour at Cheras Leisure Mall.

Astro customers can start voting online for their favourite TVB drama series and artistes from today until 18th November 2012.
