Hmm I find this funny but both parties have their own points and provoking each others but no matter what I think the lawyer who kick the client is not right. What say you?
Lawyer who hit client claims self-defence
PETALING JAYA: A video clip of a house buyer being pushed and kicked by a lawyer has gone viral but the purported attacker says he did it in self-defence after being provoked.
Lawyer Tan Hui Chuan, who was a Selayang municipal councillor until recently, said the house buyer had uttered “hurtful and disrespectful words”.
“I just wanted him to get away from me because he was provoking me, so I pushed him. But I did not punch, scratch or slap him. Yes, I kicked him. But I did not kick to injure him. It was a soft kick,” he said when contacted yesterday.
The nine-minute video clip shows two men arguing in the presence of three others in an empty house. At one point, one of the men, who is apparently infuriated, pushes the other man and kicks him once. He shoves him several times later.
Gone viral: A still from the video grab purportedly showing the attack.
The footage, recorded by a woman who came with the house buyer, was posted on YouTube on June 21, two days after the alleged incident.
The house buyer claimed he was upset that the lawyer “forced” him to sign some documents without giving him time to verify them first.
However, the lawyer said he merely asked his client to sign the acknowledgment of receipt of several documents that had been tendered to the bank.
“It was neither an agreement nor a contract as all transactions had been completed a week earlier. The client has already taken possession of the property,” he said.
Tan said his client went to his firm several days later and signed the acknowledgement of receipt.
“And the video was released after that,” he said.
The lawyer felt that the house buyer had tarnished his reputation by releasing the video.
Bar Council president Lim Chee Wee said victims of physical assault could sue for damages, adding that the house buyer could lodge a police report as well.
“No amount of provocation should attract (any form of) physical assault,” he said.
He also said that in cases of misconduct involving lawyers, the people could lodge a complaint with the council’s disciplinary board.
It’s that time of the year again for you to endure sleepless nights, shout and scream endlessly at the TV set, and tirelessly defend the superiority of your favourite team of eleven men.

OMG! Another woman slashed, robbed at car park again?? Now there’s another case Mid Valley carpark after the incident at The Curve car park!!! Please please please be extra caution!!!
I would suggest everyone of you carry a pepper spray with you for your safety if you always need to travel alone especially at the car park!
Pepper spray is an inflammatory agent. It causes immediate closing of the eyes, difficulty breathing, runny nose, and coughing. The duration of its effects depends on the strength of the spray but the average full effect lasts around thirty to forty-five minutes, with diminished effects lasting for hours.
So don’t take the risk and you may want to get 1 pepper spray for your loved one as a preventive measure so that no one else will be another victim.
Woman slashed, robbed at car park
HORRIBLE: CCTV footage with police
The victim being helped by staff and customers from the mall soon after the incident. She suffered injuries to her head and face, and was rushed to University Malaya Medical Centre.
KUALA LUMPUR: A WOMAN was robbed and slashed on her head at the car park of Mid Valley Megamall here on Friday evening.
The 10.30pm incident, which happened not far from an entrance to a cinema, was the third robbery at major shopping complex car parks in the Klang Valley over the past month.
All three cases involved female victims who were walking alone.
A witness, who declined to be named, said the victim was found by shoppers who then alerted the mall’s security officers.
The victim was found leaning against a wall with blood gushing from her head. She was also injured on her hands, believed to be defensive wounds.
“The woman was too traumatised, her hands were shaking. She could only tell the security guards that she had been robbed,” said the witness.
It was learnt that the victim was only several metres away from her parked car when she was attacked. However, the car was not stolen.
Meanwhile, Mid Valley Megamall assistant public relations manager Stephanie Tan said they had surrendered CCTV recordings of the incident to the police.
“The victim was given immediate assistance by our staff and cistomers at the mall soon after the incident.
“She suffered injuries to her head and face, and was rushed to University Malaya Medical Centre in an ambulance,” Tan said in a statement last night.
The victim was discharged from the hospital yesterday morning.
Tan said the incident happened at an office tower lift lobby at parking zone G, at level four.
“We learnt that the victim lost her i-Phone, a small amount of cash, her identity card, driving licence and bank cards, in the incident.
“The mall management will extend its full cooperation to facilitate investigations.”
Meanwhile, Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said police had yet to receive a report.
UMW Toyota Motor for the first time in 30 years of automotive history launched not one, but two icons – The All-New Toyota Camry and the much anticipated The All-New Toyota 86 at the PADDOCK 3, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) recently.
The All-New Toyota Camry has come a long way since it was first launched in 1994. I still remember when I was young, this is one of my dream car! Over the years, the Toyota Camry has built a strong reputation for its quality, durability, reliability, and stylish designs. It’s really a value for money yet elegant car.
According to En. Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor, “To date, we have sold more than 96,000 units of Toyota Camry in Malaysia, thus cementing its position as the most preferred choice of vehicle. It has become the best-selling model in the medium PC segment in Malaysia since 2006 with a market share of 47%.”
The All-New Toyota Camry is assembled locally at UMW Toyota Motor’s manufacturing facility, Assembly Services Sdn Bhd (ASSB) in Shah Alam. This development is in line with the company’s and Toyota Motor Corporation Japan’s objectives to support the Malaysian government’s efforts towards promoting localization in the Malaysian automotive industry.
This is benefited to us in long run as the cost of car spare parts will be reduced and the delivery time will cut short as accordingly.
Several changes have been made to the exterior which aims to convey a sense of prestige with a premium image of the All-New Toyota Camry. “The new design language of the All-New Toyota Camry is not only something that is appealing to the eye, but the aerodynamic design also provides for straight line stability and a more composed ride”, added En. Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor.
The All-New Toyota Camry offers incredible fuel economy and power that is a necessity in a modern, class-leading medium PC (Passenger Car) segment vehicle. Inside, the All-New Toyota Camry focuses on the prestigious design with a sense of space, luxury and attention to detail as well as a touch of high tech craftsmanship.
On the move, the All-New Toyota Camry features significantly improved noise insulation that makes for a remarkably quiet cabin that offers a conversation friendly environment. This is something that is to be expected from a prestigious sedan like the Toyota Camry.
The All-New Toyota Camry is available in three variants, which comprises the top-of-the-range 2.5V, followed by the 2.0G, and the 2.0E.
The 2.5V features a new 2.5 litre engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 2.0G and the 2.0E are equipped with a 2.0 litre engine and a sequential shift automatic transmission.
The All-New Toyota Camry is priced at :-
RM 149,900 for the 2.0E variant
RM 157,900 for the 2.0G variant
RM 180,900 for 2.5V variant (which is our top-of-the-range model)
Four color options are available – Attitude Black is a new colour, followed by the Camry ‘signature’ colour White Pearl, Silver Metallic, and Medium Silver Metallic.
We get a chance to ride on the ALL-New Toyota Camry and the ride is really smooth and nice.
The ALL-NEW Toyota 86
This is the legend AE 86 which I guess most of you would have know this car from the Initial-D?
The much anticipated and long awaited All-New Toyota 86 was also the highlight at the media launch. Developed by Toyota and its partners after countless requests from motoring enthusiasts all over the world to bring back the same ‘fun-to-drive’ approach that was taken in the original Toyota AE86, Toyota Sports 800 and Toyota 2000GT.
Known simply as the ALL-NEW Toyota 86 here, as opposed to “GT86″ for Europe and “FT86″ for the concept and the ALL-NEW Toyota 86 was co-developed with Subaru, which sells its twin sister the BRZ. Toyota was in charge of the car’s styling and product planning, while Subaru handled engineering and production.
The All-New Toyota 86 is built primarily as a driving enthusiast’s car. The exterior defines attractive sports car styling and makes a personal statement with intuitive driving dynamics which anyone can appreciate. The front-engine, rear wheel drive layout follows the popular convention of a ‘true sports car’ drive train configuration.
“Toyota went the extra mile to engineer the most neutral front-rear weight distribution that ensures stability and predictability in precision handling. This sports car is aimed to provide constant driving pleasure no matter what the road conditions are”, added En. Ismet, President of UMW Toyota Motor.
Powered by a 2.0 litre boxer engine, customers have the option of a 6-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission. Both options come with Traction Control (TRC) and VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) which has a VSC Sports function that turns off most of the driving aids to provide more control to the driver. Other dynamic safety features include ABS, with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and BA (Brake Assist).
Speaking at the launch, President of UMW Toyota Motor, En Ismet said, “The All-New Toyota 86 is a genuine lightweight sports car with advanced design and dynamics aimed at providing drivers with enjoyable and engaging driving experiences”.
The All-New Toyota 86 is priced at RM 243,000 for the manual transmission and RM 249,000 for the automatic transmission.
Six color options are available – Satin White Pearl, Crystal Black Silica, Sterling Silver Metallic, Lightning Red, Galaxy Blue Silica, and Orange Metallic.
Bookings for the All–New Toyota Camry started on 2 April and for the All-New Toyota 86 on 9 April. Since then, UMW Toyota Motor has collected more than 3,400 orders for the All–New Toyota Camry and over 30 orders for the All-New Toyota 86.
“We expect that demand for our flagship model the All–New Toyota Camry will be strong and we are targeting to sell 8,500 units and a target of 140 units for the All-New Toyota 86 for the next half of the year”, added En. Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor.

China – Lin Dan 林丹 is now World No. 1! Malaysia – Datuk Lee Chong Wei 李宗伟 is no longer World No. 1!
Hope Datuk Lee Chong Wei 李宗伟 able to excel in Olympic without any stress now as he’s no longer World No.1 so there’s nothing to hold back and just perform as what he could to win the 1st Olympic gold for Malaysia in August @ London Olympic 2012.
Chong Wei dethroned as world No. 1 after four years
KUALA LUMPUR: It’s over. Lee Chong Wei has finally been dethroned as the world No. 1 after four years at the pinnacle.
For Chong Wei, this is yet another setback that has plagued his preparation for the London Olympic Games next month.
In the latest ranking list released by the World Badminton Federation (BWF) yesterday, China’s Lin Dan, a four-time world champion, is back in familiar territory as the world No. 1, pushing Chong Wei to the second spot.
He slipped to second spot because of his absence in international tournaments following an injury to his ankle at the Thomas Cup Finals in Wuhan recently.
He lost valuable ranking points after failing to defend his title at last week’s Indonesian Open.
The drop in the ranking, however, will not affect Chong Wei’s seeding as the top player at the Olympics as the seedings had been done earlier based on the May 3 world ranking.
The 29-year-old Chong Wei had held the No. 1 spot since Aug 21, 2008 – a week after his lopsided loss to Lin Dan in the final of the Beijing Olympic Games.
Chong Wei, still recovering from his ankle injury, is scrambling to regain his form. This has raised doubts about his chances of challenging his nemesis and defending champion Lin Dan for the gold medal at the Olympics.
Some, however, see the setbacks – injury and drop in world ranking – as a blessing in disguise, saying it would drastically reduce the pressure on him as he tries to end the country’s elusive chase for a gold medal in his third Olympic outing.
Meanwhile, there was some good news for Olympic-bound Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong when they moved up two rungs to occupy the sixth spot in the world rankings in the men’s doubles while the mixed doubles pair of Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying remained at No. 8.
Zongzi (or simply zong) (Chinese: 粽子) is a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. Laotians, Thais, and Cambodians (known as nom asom) also have similar traditional dishes.
In the Western world, they are also known as rice dumplings. In Indonesia and Malaysia, they are known as bakcang, bacang, or zang (Chinese: 肉粽; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: bah-chàng), a loanword from Hakka, a Chinese dialect commonly used among Indonesian-Chinese, rather than Mandarin. Along the same lines, zongzi are more popularly known as machang among Chinese Filipinos.

1Malaysia Pad joins country’s lucrative tablet market
PUTRAJAYA: A new player has come into the country’s lucrative tablet market — the 1Malaysia Pad.
The 7-inch pad, using the Android Gingerbread operating system, was developed by MalTechPro Sdn Bhd.
It was officially unveiled at a soft launch yesterday, promising affordable mobile connectivity on a device which the developers claim was on par with those currently available in the market.
Being a new kid on the block, MalTechPro executive chairman Datuk Sohaimi Shahadan did not rule out the difficulty in breaking through the highly-competitive tablet market, but he is optimistic their business model would give them an edge over the rest.

It was reported earlier this month that Malaysia is the largest tablet market in South-East Asia, racking up sales worth US$374mil (RM1.18bil) last year.
Sohaimi said that unlike other tablet makers which only sell hardware, MalTechPro has the advantage of an in-house team that could tailor the tablet to match the business and communication needs of companies and corporations.
“We are an apps (applications) developer, and the 1Malaysia Pad can be customised according to the needs of the client.
“Let’s say a company wants 500 units. We can customise the apps to do whatever they need, and these apps will be exclusive to that particular company,” Sohaimi said after the soft launch by Domestic Trade, Consumer Affairs and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob here.
The tablet also comes with a clutch of built-in applications, the most notable being the 1Malaysia Messenger or 1MM app, which offers free messaging between users akin to popular applications such as WhatsApp and Blackberry Messenger.
Sohaimi said the 1Malaysia Pad will be in the market next month after its official launch by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, at an introductory price of RM999 for the first 5,000 units.
The tablet comes with two cameras – 3.0 megapixel device at the back and a 0.3 megapixel in the front – WiFi and 3G data capabilities, a Li-Polymer 4000mAH battery and a 32GB micro SD memory card.
1Mpad is Malaysia’s first branded tablet, delivers 7 inches of Gingerbread for $315
So you’ve decided that it’s time to make a tablet part of your life, but a lack of star-spangled slabs has prompted you to defer the purchase. Malaysians now face no such dilemma, due in no small part to the 1Malasyia Pad — the country’s first branded tab. The 1Mpad will reportedly soon be marketed to students (1.4 million of them, in fact), but 5,000 of the 7-inch Gingerbread devices are now being offered up to deep-pocketed locals, priced online at a rather-ambitious 999 Malaysian ringgits (about $315). Manufactured by MalTechPro Sdn Bhd, the 1Mpad will be offered to students at a to-be-determined discounted rate, making it the first such device to be available using a student discount card. At its current high list price, the tablet doesn’t appear to be a fantastic deal, shipping with 3G broadband and the 1Malaysia Messenger application, which will serve as an IM service of sorts for sending text, pictures, video and voice recording to other 1Mpad owners. Still, if you have the cash to spare for an early taste of what Malaysian students may some day be using to surf the web, you can hit up the source link after the break for a bit more info.
