Last week, on Friday went to Bintulu for a friend’s wedding. My AirAsia flight to Bintulu was at 7.30am, 17th December, and thought want to catch SkyBus to LCCT @ 4.45am, 1Utama since it’s nearer to my house. I have done an email enquiry about the ticket purchase and re-confirm whether there’s bus @ 4.45am as stated in the SkyBus website.
The reason I email them is because I scare if there’s some changes on the schedule or something just to make myself more confident so that I will not miss my flight.
To my horror, I waited at 1Utama SkyBus Ticket Counter from 4.15am till 5.10am but there’s no sign of bus coming nor there’s any one at the ticket booth, it’s not even open!
There’s a number of people waiting for the SkyBus to LCCT too. Most of us was already impatient as we got to catch our flight if any delay we might miss flight!
There’s a bus schedule at the ticket counter and I tried to contact the number on the leaflet but no response…
Finally a guy who in charged the ticket counter told us that the bus was broke down when we questioned him why there’s no bus??? No choice but I have to share taxi with 2 other guys who’s also heading to LCCT, one of them is the pilot and another one is AirAsia crew.
As this is service oriented business, at least the service must up to the standard and if there’s any delay or bus break down do ensure there’s some notice or at least someone there to inform us then we could make other plan instead. I’m very disappointed with that because that was my 1st experience with SkyBus @ 1Utama. Some of us missed our flight because of that and all our schedule was not in plan anymore.
Will not take the SkyBus anymore as I don’t want to screw up my travel again!
Update from Chris, CEO of SkyBus
He had apologized on behalf and it’s good that they take it seriously and called me personally and offered me free skybus ticket. I will give it another chance. Hope the company will keep it promise and do not disappoint others that use skybus!

Been very lazy for the pass few days and was enjoying my holiday @ Bintulu, Sarawak! LoL.
This is actually my 1st trip to East Malaysia and never been to Sarawak and Sabah for all these while and always think that East Malaysia is still under develop and like forest kind and long houses but I’m wrong, blame the cuti-cuti Malaysia promo video clip!
This trip was more on a mission to be Heng Tai for my friend’s wedding rather than holiday actually but yes, I get to relax for few days apart from work!
Bintulu is about 650 kilometers from Kuching and about 215 kilometers from either Sibu or Miri. It hosts the Petronas Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Complex, currently the world’s largest liquefied natural gas production facility on a single site, with an annual production of 23 million tonnes.
As a booming industrial town, Bintulu has been undergone rapid transformations lately. The economic growth of Bintulu is reflected by the sprawling construction area and the openings of several international fast food chains in the town area.
Yes, They have KFC which operates 24 hrs there in Bintulu! The cost of living in Bintulu is very low too. Most of the houses there is either Semi D or Bungalow. A bowl of famous Kolo mee only cost around RM2.50! Where to find a bowl of mee at RM2.50 in KL or PJ?
Perodua has unveiled a next-generation prototype model called the Perodua Bezza at KLIMS. It’s really nice and if Perodua launching this Bezza I’m sure a lot of ppl will surely get this cun B-pillarless vehicle!
There was a contest running to name this concept car and win RM5000 too at KLIMS’ 10 @ PWTC. Would could be the potential / actual name of this car if it’s in the market next few years?

This will be my final words on this Windows Phone 7 – HTC HD7.
When I get hold of this HTC HD7 from Maxis10, I just love the big huge and high resolution screen. It can even use as a mirror, so for the ladies don’t need to bring extra mirro but just bring this phone will do.
Pros
- Clean interface and can be organized easily.
- Show live feed on home screen.
- Big and Huge screen.
- Thin and sleek design.
- Good quality build.
- Build in Kickstand which is good and convenient for watching movie!
- Quickly see everything you care about with Live tiles on your Start screen.
- Your contacts and Facebook updates. Together.
- View, edit, share and sync Office docs—from anywhere.
Cons
- I don’t really like the keyboard as I always type or hit the wrong letter, perhaps my bulky and fat finger =(
- Camera button is hard to press and caused shaky or blur image.
- Camera can’t remember the last settings and will back to default everything when you want to use the camera which is very annoying.
- Photo quality is bad in low light condition.
- Not really user friendly, need to explore for quite sometime only can know what to do or how to use.
- Lack of copy and paste functions.
- Need Zune software installed on PC only can copy / transfer image and videos.
- No true multitasking.
- No notification for Twitter Mention and Facebook!
All in all, this Windows Phone 7 – HTC HD7 is still a good phone. I believe most of the cons could be solved by waiting for the firmware update release by Microsoft but the question is when?

Market Place is not available for Malaysia and now I just found out that My Phone is not supported for Windows Phone 7 when I wanted to install for my HTC HD7 by Maxis10. My Phone features are really good but not supported. =(
The My Phone application may be used with Windows Mobile 6 phones and is pre-loaded on most newer Windows® phones. If the software is not already on your phone, enter http://myphone.microsoft.com/install into your mobile phone’s browser to download the software.
Once the software has been downloaded to your phone, select the “Microsoft My Phone” application from the Programs or Settings menu on your phone to complete setup. After syncing, return to this web site at anytime to access all of your contacts, photos, text messages, and more.
Tried to download My Phone to the HTC HD7 but failed.
With My Phone you can: - Backup your phone’s content automatically
With the My Phone service, information on your Windows® phone is backed-up to a password-protected web site hosted by Microsoft. If you lose your phone or upgrade to a new phone, you can restore your information easily. Learn more.
- Send photos to your PC and favorite social networking sites
Microsoft My Phone makes it easy to share photos taken with your phone. From your My Phone web account or directly from your Windows® phone, you can share photos to Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, and Windows Live. Learn more.
- Find your lost phone
The My Phone service can show you the last known location of your phone on a map (based on where it last synced or shared photos using My Phone). User activation required. Learn more.
- Access your contacts, text messages and more online
From the web you can organize contacts and appointments on your phone, and search through your old text messages. Changes appear on your phone the next time you sync.
I really love the features above and hope Windows Phone 7 will come out with something similar to this My Phone and the best part is using this service is FREE! Arghh…
A phone’s main function is to connect you with other mobile users / friends / family / colleagues etc. Windows Phone 7 did very well in this under People Hub.
With the People Hub, all of your friends and contacts are in one place and they’re all up to date. So you can see all and know all about the people that matter most.
You just need to add in your Facebook account and the People Hub will take care of the rest!
The Windows Phone 7′s People Hub aggregates you friends from all of your social networks in three screens – Recent, All, What’s New. Recent tab will show you friends who have just updated their profiles or statuses in Facebook or MSN, while All tab will show you all of your friends as in contact book. What’s new tab quickly aggregates recent status updates all into a single feed. You can also quickly share your own status update thru the People Hub easily.
Should you wish to comment, Like or Dislike a particular Facebook status update, it can be done directly from the People Hub. Microsoft has tried to integrate what most users want from a phone within the OS itself, not various applications, that’s the power of Windows Phone 7′ People Hub.
Clicking on one of your contacts not only displays their number and other details you had inputted, you can scroll through their status updates. Any contact information on Facebook, such as their birthday, is also displayed.
You can also filter / search thru alphabetical order of your contacts at People Hub.
You shouldn’t have any problems bringing your contacts over to Windows Phone 7 if you keep them in the cloud on another platform.
While you’ll initially need to login with a Windows Live account, you can add Outlook, Facebook, Gmail and other POP or IMAP accounts without a problem, and choose what syncs from each (contacts, photos, calendar, email etc).
What I don’t like is all my junk contacts from when I used MSN since secondary school will sadly appear in the address book. Need to do massive cleanup!
Okay this post will be on how the photo and video quality of this HTC HD7 by Maxis10. This HTC HD7 has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with a 720p movie mode. Overall the photo was just average and not too impressive for my own opinion, but it’s only a camera phone if want awesome photo then just get a DSLR lo. =p
This HTC HD7 is big and easy to hold as a camera, but the camera button is really hard to press, you need to press real hard in order to take picture and sometimes you time to shake the camera and hence the picture goes blurred. On the other hand, Windows Phone 7 does allow you to jump straight into the camera app from a locked screen (by holding down the shutter button) which is convenient to me compared to iPhone.
Few of the draw back :-
- WP7′s inability to remember camera (or camcorder) settings. If you off the flash, each time you turn on the camera and wanted to shoot without flash but the flash will back to default settings which is really troublesome to use and annoying. Not only that, same goes to the video settings.
- The camera buttone is really hard to press.

More photo comparison between iPhone 4 and HTC HD7. Look at how this HTC HD7 score in the photo above. HTC HD7 actually takes good photo but provided with good lighting conditon and not low light condition which will caused the pink effect. I still think that iPhone takes better photo compared to the rest. Do you agree with me?
As to the video output itself, it’s quite presentable stuff. Check out the sample video taken below. The refresh rate is actually quite good.
Sample Video taken with HTC HD7
Sample Video taken with iPhone
The video format captured in HTC HD7 is .mp4 and the file size is comparative smaller than iPhone which store in .mov file.
iPhone Video Size – 00:00:31 – 38.4MB
HTC HD7 Video Size (VGA 640*480) – 00:00:31 – 8.13MB only!
All in all, the HTC HD7′s camera and video recording seem on par with other smartphone.
