Review after the JomTrip Penang : Risk assessment for Penang Trip

We were fortunate NO MAJOR INCIDENT happened other than a Myvi losing its engine. But again we need to be cautious and this is info to be shared here for next trip you all must pay attention to details and really check your cars.

1. Daphne’s hood which was returned to her an accident WAS NOT SCREWED PROPERLY. She lost 1 nut & the other about to come off too while the other side 2 nuts were not torqued tightly. This made her bonnet a HIGH RISK during our convoy. Lucky she complained to us at the 1st meet point and we had to locate a nut at 7.30am which was difficult. Thankfully one was opened but not the right type but tread was correct we used that as a stop gap measure. When reached PG we faster asked JNS for help & a replacement was immediately dispatched to Daphne. Thanks JNS. – Solved

2. Alvin’s lower front bumper cover came off due to a missing plastic plug. May be due to removal of it during his LED installation. Stop gap was to tape it but didn’t last as he drove with the board semi scrapping the road. JNS technician didn’t have the plastic plug but quick thinking used 1 pc from the grille to fix below. Since the grille had 4 pcs its ok. – Solved

3. Salfae from Terengganu had 2 cracks on his tire sidewalls which is dangerous for long distance trip. Lucky our buzy body bros managed to catch that (so fine also they can see keng leh) and alerted him. I heard he changed both before heading back. – Solved

4. Windscreen hit by objects during trip – sorry for Lim sad thing to happen I also was told Alvin also had a nasty one. So it pays to buy Windscreen Insurance guys/gals.

5. Accidents will happen anytime so next time during convoy make sure your car is at least 3 cars alway when we are at speeds above 90kmh. I see you all main buntut leh! also too close bad for SMK to take nice photos!

6. Tires always must have enough tread, mine was already 30% so had to change them to join this trip. Was worth it as on the way back that night it was raining & the new tires help greatly. So pls DO NOT risk your life & change when necessary.

thats all and thanks everyone for joining in this FORTELICIOUS FAMILY! Be Safe Always….
