Lee Chong Wei won against Lin Dan. Well done Lee Chong Wei. Lee Chong Wei just beat Lin Dan in straight game. Chong Wei performance today was superb. Now it will go to double …
Thomas Cup Semi Final Result – Malaysia vs China 3 – 2
Malaysia Lost!
Lee Chong Wei and our second double Zakry Abdul Latif Mohd and Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari Mohddid a great job! They both beat Zhongbo Xie and Zhendong Guo in straight set. 17-21, 15-21. I was disappointed with Koo Kian Keat / Tan Boon Heong double pair and Hafiz Hashim too. They should score a point for Malaysia. Once again after 16years Malaysai still cannot get back the Thomas Cup =(
I purposely took leave to watch this 4years once Thomas Cup and support Malaysia but it really disappoint me. Hafiz Hashim should have perform much better, he was leading in both games but in the end he lost concentration and focus. He should run more and play seriously. I feel like he was slacking and just play for fun! That’s bad!
Malaysia loses 3-2 to China in Thomas Cup semis (Update)
JAKARTA: Malaysia lost 3-2 to defending champions China in the the semi-finals of the Thomas Cup with third singles player Mohd Hafiz Hashim losing 12-21, 16-21 in the deciding game against China’s Chen Jin.
Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei had earlier shocked Lin Dan in the opening singles by beating him 21-12, 21-14.
However, Koo Kien Keat Koo and Tan Boon Heong lost to Chinese pair Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng, 16-21, 17-21 in the second match.
Then Wong Choong Hann lost to Bao Chunlai, 18-21, 7-21 in the second singles.
In the second doubles, Mohd Fairuzizuan Tazari and Mohd Zakry Abdul Latiff beat Guo Zhengdong/Xie Zhongbo 21-17, 21-15 to revive Malaysia’s hopes briefly.
China will face either Indonesia or South Korea in Sunday’s final. source
Our Malaysian Women Team lost 3-1 to Korea in Uber Cup. Only Malaysia top women shuttler Wong Mew Choo manage to beat Hye Youn Hwan from Korea during the opening match between Malaysia and Korea in the quarter final.
It’s wasted that I suppose the women team could do better than that and we should have qualify into semi final to beat Chian but it was all dream now, so let’s hope our Malaysian Men Team will make Malaysia proud and bring out the Malaysia Boleh spirit by bringing back the Thomas Cup as the last time Malaysia won in Thomas Cup was 12years back.
I still remember after we won, Malaysia declared one day holiday after the victory. On Friday 16 May, Malaysia vs China in Semi Final. It will be most awaited match and must watch! Lin Dan, Bao Chun Lai …
Lee Chong Wei vs Shoji Sato 21-10, 21-16 Koo Kien Keat & Choong Tan Fook vs Shintaro Ikeda & Shuichi Sakamoto
21-13, 21-11 Wong Choong Hann vs Kenichi Tago 21-13, 21-18
Koo Kien Keat was split with Tan Boon Heong and partner Choong Tan Fook and they did performed well. All the matched between Malaysia and Japan were straight set. Malaysia Boleh!
Uber Cup 2008
Korea vs Malaysia
result: 3-1
Mew Choo Wong bt Hye Youn Hwang 21-16, 21-5 in 33mins
During the 1st set, Wong Mew Choo was behind but she manged to catch up and won the game. The 2nd game was much easier for Mew Choo as Korean, Hye Youn Hwang was way too tired and Mew Choo managed to get most of the clear shot. View Wong Mew Choo Statistics
Yesterday Lim Pek Siah and Wong Pei Tty bt Satoko Suetsuna and Miyuki Maeda Japan. Today Lim Pek Siah and Wong Pei Tty lost to Hyo Jung Lee and Min Jung Kim 21-13, 21-4 in just 28mins
I supposed their performance today was bad and they are lacking understanding between themselves. Keep it up girls.
Yesterday Julia Wong bt Yu Hirayama Japan.
Today Julia Wong lost to Yun Hwa Lee 21-14, 21-13 in just 35mins

Just finished the match between Malaysian Team and Korean Team. It’s no fun at all. Korean reshuffle their line up for singles and double just to avoid Chian in quarter final. Is there any sportsmanship there? We Malaysian are all geared up to beat Korean. Malaysia won 4-1. It’s no fun seeing double player playing single against us and it’s really not sporting at all in the arrangement. We just won them easily. Now Malaysia are top of the group. Hopefully we can take back the Cup as the last we won Thomas cup is 16years ago!

Phishing is a form of fraud designed to steal your identity. It works by using false pretenses to get you to disclose sensitive personal information, such as credit and debit card numbers, account passwords, or Social Security numbers.
One of the most common phishing scams involves sending a fraudulent email that claims to be from a well-known company. Phishing can also be carried out in person, over the phone, through fraudulent pop-up windows, and websites.
Here is what I can advise you base on my own experience and observation. When you receive any email from bank, confirmed with the bank and check wither it’s a scam or not. I repeat, do not click on any link in the email that look suspicious. When u do that, you will eventually leak your information to the culprit.
There’s a way that I always check whether it’s from the real bank or not. Before you click on the link, you can actually see the real link behind by mouse over or view source. By doing that you can also check whether it’s pointing to the bank that sent you the email or pointing to other pishing website. So when you see a link like paypal, it’s actually bringing you to another website that look exactly the same but it’s not the real bank. So beware.
Another way that you can check is, when you reach the website thru the link in the email, try to login using wrong login name and password, if it’s logged in then you know it’s a pishing scam, if not than it should be safe.
So the safer way is, bookmark you the bank website and every time want to visit, just click on your bookmark =)
All the best. Maybank now even advertise on radio about this phishing website link! They are very concern about it and it’s good to let more ppl know about it especially your father or mother if they using Internet banking.

New to the Web: Screen capture of Dr Mahathir’s blog taken yesterday, the day it was launched. The blog received more than 10,000 visitors by 5pm Thursday.
KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is now a blogger.
He is blogging through his website www.chedet.com, which is named after the pseudonym he used when he wrote articles for the newspapers.
In his profile, Dr Mahathir lists himself simply as the “Prime Minister of Malaysia 1981 – 2003″.
Dr Mahathir wrote that the site was dedicated to publishing his writings as and when he was able to pen his thoughts and opinions.
He added that interested parties, including the media, were allowed to reproduce or quote materials published in his site but to credit them to chedet.com.
Comments and feedbacks accompanied by names or pseudonyms were welcome, while anonymous ones and those containing profanities and obscenities would be rejected, he wrote.
His first article, posted at 1.27am yesterday, was on the appointment of judges, in which he posed a few questions on the setup of the proposed commission on the appointment of judges, and how recommendations would be made.
Dr Mahathir wrote that it would be interesting to know the full details of the procedures especially with regard to the role of the Prime Minister in the appointment of judges.
He pointed out that any changes to the appointment of judges required the Constitution to be amended and, as the Government did not have two-thirds majority in Parliament, it needed votes from the Opposition.
“Is the Government proposing to work with the Opposition on these issues, and so display its weakness? Will there be a quid pro quo, a bargain with the Opposition? It would be interesting to see how the PM proposes to deal with this,” he wrote.
Dr Mahathir’s blog received more than 10,000 visitors by 5pm yesterday. Many commentators welcomed the former prime minister to the blogosphere and said they had been waiting for him to start blogging.
Many said they were eager to hear his thoughts on various issues and welcomed the fact that they could interact with him through the blog.
Some who left comments on his first posting disagreed that it would be a weakness on part of the Government to work with the Opposition to reform the judiciary. They felt that national interest should prevail over partisan politics.
One commentator also asked Dr Mahathir if he thought that the ex-gratia payment for the judges affected in the 1988 judicial crisis was tantamount to contempt of court.
Ex PM Mahathir also blog! This proves that anyone can blog! It’s interesting reading his post and there’s plenty of responses to this post (more than 230 comments). Check it out yourself for the latest post “A Weak Government is not good for Multi-racial Malaysia“
PETALING JAYA: It’s confirmed. Nine badminton players will represent Malaysia at the Olympic Games in August.
Although smaller in quantity compared to the squad that featured at the 2004 Athens Games, national chief coach Yap Kim Hock feels that the current batch had the quality to challenge for medals.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that men’s singles players Lee Chong Wei (world No. 2) and Wong Choong Hann (14th) had qualified after making the top 16 in the world rankings.
The May 1 rankings will be used to determine the qualifiers for the Olympics.
Malaysia will not have any representatives in the mixed doubles as their current best pair of Tan Wee Kiong-Woon Khe Wei are only ranked 35th in the world.
Kim Hock said that Malaysia could expect a good fight in every event – the men’s and women’s singles and doubles events.
“This time we have depth in our Olympic squad. There is a chance in the men’s event and, for the first time, we can also hope for something in the women’s event,” said Kim Hock.
Women’s shuttler Wong Mew Choo and doubles pair Chin Eei Hui-Wong Pei Tty will represent Malaysia.
However, both will not be seeded at the Games as they are only ranked 10th in the world.
Malaysia have returned home empty-handed from two previous Olympic Games – in Athens and Sydney. So far, only badminton has contributed medals in the Olympics at the first two editions – bronze (Razif-Jalani Sidek) in Barcelona 1992 and a silver (Cheah Soon Kit-Soo Beng Kiang) and bronze (Rashid Sidek) in Atlanta 1996.
The Qualifiers
Men’s singles: Lee Chong Wei, Wong Choong Hann.
Men’s doubles: Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah, Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong.
It’s really good news and hope Malaysia Boleh and they would bring back gold medals for Malaysia. Besides that, they will be playing in Thomas Cup Jakarta 11-18. All the best.
