OW:L Espresso @ SS15, Subang

The ‘Korean Wave’ is no longer a new trend for Malaysians. It first started with Gangnam Style made popular by Park Jae Sang or PSY, then we got Super Junior, Big Bang, Lee Min Ho and more. But there’s more than just K-pop songs for Malaysians also have strong interest with Korean food, fashion, make-up and other Korean products.

I first heard of Bingsu when Caffe Bene arrived in Malaysia. Bingsu is actually Korean shaved ice dessert topped with various sweet toppings and its a highly popular snack in Korea. Doesn’t this sound like our “Ice Kacang”?

The ‘Yaong’ bingsu is topped with various fruit toppings like watermelon, honey dew, grapes, strawberry, choco sticks and vanilla ice cream. The bingsu has a nice sweet flavour and the shaved ice has a surprisingly smooth texture.

Verdict: OW:L Espresso at SS15 is a nice cafe to chill and relax over Korean desserts like bingsu and coffee with friends and family. There are varieties of bingsu to choose from and the shaved ice served is relatively smooth with a nice sweet flavour from the toppings.

This blog is a platform to share what I love in life: food (eat), travel (play), photography (art) and life (thoughts and ideas). With passion for food, I share my foodie adventures and indulgences here. “There is no love sincerer than the love of food.”

Traveling makes us a better human being as we recognise the similarities and celebrate the differences of cultures between where we travel to and where we come from. “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”

Photography do more than just capturing the best moments in our lives; they also help us tell our life stories. “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
